This support pole was exactly the same as what I needed to replace. It was delivered quickly and works very well.

Just what I needed. Found the exact same thing in the store under a different brand name.

Terrible product, they have a plastic joint in the middle of the bar now that doesn’t provide support for the weight of the shelf. When the pressure is applied the bar folds on the joint

I was originally happy to see an option for poles to hold up the wire shelf but when I received the product, I didnt expect a single pole to be 2 pieces. They are connected via a hard rubber coupling and when I put it together, the coupling buckled. Would have been preferred a single pole which could hold more weight. Returned product.

Plastic connector bends under weight. I needed to insert a wood dowel rod between the two support rods to provide stability.

This is listed as an 84" pole but is actually 86" and therefore, the holes/brackets don't align with my shelving. Very disappointing as I will now need to make a return.

Rip off

You can no longer buy just the clips that screw into the pole that the shelf snaps into. I had to buy another pole for $24 to get one clip. I can’t even use the new pole along with the old one as the holes don’t line up because of the plastic connector on the new one. It’s now 2 poles joined in the middle by the plastic piece. Closemaid no longer makes a continuous pole. The plastic piece is right where one of the holes is for the clip so the top 3. Don’t waste your money on Closetmaid junk.

I had to modify them slightly to fit my needs but overall they are great. I had them in my previous home pantry. For some reason the same builder didn't utilize them in this pantry even though they were required for the spand.

The verticle bar comes in two pieces joined by a plastic connector. That makes it easier to ship I suppose. You really must connect the bar to shelving above and below the joint to improve stability. Avoid using if only supporting shelves attached above the joint. Organized Living sells a better support pole. Check it out.

They are made of thin metal and don’t hold much weight at all. I ended up having to buy other brackets. Not satisfied at all.

The rod connects to make 84”. This is the weakest link. No support. Make a solid support pole.

Expensive for what it is. Had to modify to use with existing shelves (drill holes in new locations).

Decorative only. The plastic coupler is worthless

The plastic coupler bends and flexes and prevents pole from bearing any weight. The clips connect to the side of the pole and do not exert perfect downward force. The pole bends at coupler and requires the previous reviewers solution of inserting wood dowel into the pole.
