Wonderful!!! I was so excited when I saw this door, I knew I would LOVE IT! Our other door was effected by a hurricane (flood)
So many compliments, Love Coast Sequoia Barn Door! Assembly was very easy to follow, weight is heavy solid wood planks, color and wood grain is Beautiful! My neighbor had her barn door built & paid 10 x's the amount I paid and she likes my barn door better.
I thought this piece was an already assembled door, but it's not. However, assembling didn't take too much time. The quality of the door is mediocre. For the price I paid, I would've expected a heavier duty door, but the wood is shiplap and not the best of quality
Received moldering wood for the door that reeked of mildew and mold. Absolutely should not be used indoors or as anything other than firewood. It smelled like it was wrapped up wet and just stored in someone's damp basement for a few months.
Nice door except for the instructions.
Door went together well except one of pieces being warped and hardware problems.
One of the panels was warped like a rainbow. It was nearly impossible to get to aligned. I used 4 ratched straps to pull it in but the spacing is not uniform due to the warpage. I would recommend you don't buy doors that need to be assembled. I tried this style from an other manufacture and it was the same way. Companies should sale the product unless they can figure out how to keep the wood straight.
Absolutely perfect for our master bedroom! We were not sure how well the stain color would match our furniture, however, it is almost an exact match. This is the perfect door to separate our master bedroom from the bathroom.
Exactly what I was looking for. We added a pantry closet outside a wine cellar and were looking for a door that went with the wine cellar vibe. This is it! Rolls smoothly and the colors worked well with our rustic stone tile. A good purchase
OK, the looks and final function are awesome. My builder who is exceptional told me it was a real bear to put together- took him more than 5 hours. He showed me the instructions actually said to use a chainsaw- WHAT????- Anyway- glad I didn't try to put this together!
This barn door is just what we needed for our pantry addition. Good price point and a variety of options as far as color and size. The assembly is not difficult at all, just place the slats on the floor and put it together like a puzzle. Keep it tight and the edges flush then put the screws in last from the bottom up. We haven't hung it up yet because we need to do some painting first. I think you'll be happy with this door.
We were afraid the doors were faux wood but was pleasingly surprised when we opened the boxes to see and smell the real wood beautifully stained. All the hardware was included right down to the handles which we thought we might have to make a trip to the hardware store to purchase. We are extremely pleased with our purchase on one single and one double set of barn doors. The only thing to improve would be to give more details in the installation instructions. We had to view several YouTube tutorials for additional information.
Very heavy real wood. Stain job is not great and pay attention to keep your parts and building instructions in close proximity! You have to build the door, pieces of wood and lots of parts come in the box. Pretty expensive too.
All parts and wood delivered perfectly
We installed 3 exact same size doors in a 1940's home being renovated. The original doors intruded into bedrooms and bath space. EZ solution was remove existing doors and install these sliding barn doors. Install was straight forward and easy. All parts, wood were true to size. Doors are similar to other units we have installed. Takes about 1.5 hours to build and install with helper. One little piece needed touch up with a marker. Otherwise great. Added small wood grip to slide doors on 1 side.
Cons it took a while to assemble. The planks took a while to line up. It is missing screws including the decorative ones for the cross bars. Pro not a bad look for the price. Pretty sturdy.
The door itself is nice, however more guidance is required to select the proper size to purchase based on your door opening, trim, ceiling clearance and mounting support (can you get into wall studs or do you have to first mount a backboard to mount the rail on). Also requires better instructions for mounting and assembly. It is designed and written in Metric, therefore conversion to inches creates odd measurements. I ended up having to cut an inch and a quarter off the bottom of the door for it to work.
Show stopper doors
I ordered these doors and when the package arrived a couple of planks were cracked; called the company that manufactures the doors at sequoia coast and was immediately helped to fix the problem. I was able to get the replacements within a week and I’m happy with the purchase and the customer service! Would highly recommend
Absolutely love this door! I did have contractors put it together and hang it, but they even commented on the quality. I did not get the soft close hardware and really don't need it. If I had small children slinging it open I'd probably order it.
Fantastic Doors, Great Customer Service
These doors are outstanding. Very well constructed, Easy to put together. Great color. Would buy again. When you
Company Should Make Instructions Clearer
The door is beautiful. Hanging it was extremely time consuming because there are no predrilled holes in the door for the sliding hardware and the instructions for the measurements to do this were ridiculous (and we work in construction). We weren't able to hit one stud in the confined area we had for the door and the drywall anchors are in no way sufficient for the weight of the door, so we had to stop installation to buy ones that were. The handle was missing, and we've put in a request to have that sent out to us. We're hoping this gets resolved.
Solid Door and Hardware
Very happy with the quality of the door and hardware. The color (Kona Coffee) was a good match to the online representation. The installation instructions are terrible...but they get you close. My favorite was the step to use a chainsaw to cut a small groove into the bottom of the door lol (no worries, the groove is already precut). We weren't able to hit a stud, but the drywall anchors worked perfectly fine. The four screws for the handle were missing, so I had to provide those myself. In the end, it was well worth the effort and we're happy with the new Pantry door.
