Outdoor bench - just as expected

This bench has held up over multiple summers and winters in Idaho. A nice simple bench. Looks and acts just as expected. We bought the black.

Not for people without tools! As others have commented, the screw holes did not align with the holes in the legs. The pegs were also not securely pounded into the leg frame. See attached picts. I ended up cutting the 1/8” off 2 legs to be able to assemble. Seems sturdy enough, once all adjustments were made. Color did not match my monitor very well, less teal and more blue in person.

Durable

Synthetic wood is the way to go with an outdoor bench. It stands up to the elements much better than so many of the 'hardwood' benches out there. After wasting my money on one of those, I bought this one in 2017. It still looks geat!

Cheap flimsy plastic.

Received the quick ship 5ft Lehigh b ench. Went to bolt legs on and noticed that they attach differently than the bench in the picture. The first picture is from the website. The second picture is how it actually attaches. This might contribute to side to side movement, but the flimsy material is what causes all of the other wobbles. The bench is very wobbly side to side. The lack of supports in the middle also make this bench flex in the middle way to much. My 4 year old stood in the middle of the bench and it flexed so much that he started jumping on it like it is a trampoline. I weigh 220lbs and when i sat down it flexesd and moved so much that I thought it would break. I also have 300+ lbs people in my family that will snap this thing if they sit on it. Maybe I have a defective one. I spoke with customer service and I explained that the bench was too wobbly and bendy and would not meet my needs. He said they stand behind their product and they will make it right. I said I just would like to return it. He said I will have to pay for shipping because the seat is fine but I just dont like it. I said that is not acceptable and that is not making it right. I said that I would be forced to leave a bad review and he said that's fine. People will continue to buy their stuff even with my bad review. I will not pay to return this bench. Any reputable company would send a return shipping label. DO NOT BUY anything from this company. The plastic is flimsy. There are other composite benches that are rock solid. This is not one of them. Buy from a different company with quality products and customer service

These marine grade benches are wonderul...they stay out yearround at our California home and at our Oregon home. They don't fade and don't need to be painted. Oh and they don't rot. Nice and solid.

This bench worked perfectly on my the porch. I put some throw pillows on it and it created a cute inviting space leading up to the front door.

Havenside Home Mandalay 5-foot Picnic Bench is a perfect back yard bench for all kind of weather! The seat is curved so it is comfortable to sit on. I have mine right in the sun and it does not get hot.

This is a lovely bench, however it should have a center support in it. It says that it has a 500 pound weight limit but even if one 175 pound man sits by themselves in the middle, the seat bows and seems like it wants to break. This is made of, essentially, composite decking so the sun heats it up and makes it malleable. Even though this fits perfectly under the matching table I bought, I probably would have bought the 4 foot bench instead just for better structural support. Also, make sure to go back and re-tighten all of the bolts after it's been outside for a few weeks.

This was the first Highwood piece that we purchased through overstock. Materials appear to be high quality. It was easy to assemble - the tool that was provided worked perfectly and all holes were correct. The curved seat of this style is VERY comfortable, much more so than any other bench i have ever tired out. No cushions required which means easier maintenance to me. It doesnt get burning hot in FL sun either. Later, we purchased a matching Highwood Lehigh rocker, had some issues which were professionally resolved by Highwood, after which, we went on to purchased a second rocker and are very pleased so far.
