Excellent!

Love our new bed. It is very high. Partly due to our new mattress we bought a few months ago. We had a sleigh bed which was also high, but this is higher. The headboard isn't as sturdy, but only noticeable to me since I am anal. It is probably due to not tightening it up enough at installation. My husband likes that the footboard is low so he isn't restricted if he wants his feet to dangle over. We bought the nightstands and chest as well.

This bed had a few rips in the back and when put together, it wasn't really straight on both sides. One of the two sides had the holes a little off so the panels didn't come together smoothly. Also there is only 4 very narrow slats and there is no way that was enough to hold a mattress with no extra support. I had to purchase a box spring though I was hoping the platform bed would be supportive enough. It serves it's purpose though.

We were shocked that the entire bed fit in to a tiny box, but the packaging was clever and it fit perfectly. My only complaint is that sometimes the sides bow out when we move the bed, but other than that it's quiet-doesn't squeak when we roll over. I do hit my toes on the feet on occasion, but that is just learning not to walk too close to the edge of the bed. Was super easy to assemble and it's so light weight I can move the bed easily to clean behind/under it.

Looks good for the price

We were looking to inexpensively furnish an apt we have and use when we travel for work. This headboard and frame works great for that purpose. Easy to assemble and nice looking. Works better with a mattress AND box spring unless you have a wry thick, firm mattress. This is a 10" mattress and not only did it look bad, the mattress had no support so you could actually feel it sink between the slats and was entirely to low to the ground. We ended up purchasing a 13" mattress and box spring and it's the perfect height and resolved the sinking between slats.

I'm giving one instead of zero because Overstock made my return as painless as possible. I ordered this bed with a mattress. The mattress arrived two days before the bed (even though they were supposed to come together). I hauled the 64lb. box up my apartments spiral stairs only to unbox the bed and find a solid black leather bed. Not the classy gray nailhead bed I had ordered. When I called Overstock they were very helpful but could not tell me if the bed I received was what the company perceived as the bed I had ordered because there was no item number on the box. Overstock covered return shipping. I just had to repack the bed and haul it down the stairs again and to a UPS store. I had to front more money to not have to sleep on my floor for two weeks as my return will not be complete until it is back to the company and processed. There are many beds like this with better company reviews!

Exceeded my expectations!

I searched for months for the best bed to meet my needs and taste. I wanted blue, i wanted fabric and I wanted a classy/mid century look. I usually never buy anything without reading all wonderful reviews and I never write a review but this bed needed me as I needed it. It is beautiful, strong and was a great price. The customer service was very attentive and pleasing to deal with. The bed was not only delivered on time but was assembled and the crew was very nice and careful. Highly recommend this bed if you are hesitant to buy don't be!!

What a great bed!

I love my bed! It is darker in person but it’s beautiful. It’s sturdy, feels like quality materials. The delivery company was so professional too. They wore booties to keep my floor clean and gloves to touch my mattress. They were polite and on time. I only have good things to say. I should have bought the 5 year warranty for $99 but you have to buy it before they deliver it and I didn’t know.

Would give a 5 stars had the bed not arrived in a box with an added box from around the originally. Was annoying just trying to get it opened. The majority of the pieces come zipped in the back of the headboard which is nice, so if you have to disassemble it to move, it makes it quite easy to keep track of. Would have been nice if he side panels had pre-drilled holes for placing the slates on. It's been about a month since purchasing and I still love the bed. I got the dark gray and the color is exactly as shown on the website.
