Great Sleep Pad!

Great piece of equipment!!! Only 4 stars because sides do not inflate themselves. Highly recommend!

This pad is great because it provides a waterproof barrier between the ground and your sleeping space. It self inflates and helps keep you in your sleeping space, thanks to the edges that surround you. I am not sure how durable it is since I have not had it long.

Too heavy for backpacking

This pad TOO BIG and TOO HEAVY for the backpacking needs to be 1lb lighter to make it work -- cant return it -- now stuck for tailgate camping. Coleman should publish the pack dimensions and weight, which is conveniently missing on all of their products.

Great

Great pad on the whole. I wish the pillow was already filled, since stuffing the pouch with clothes or a blanket isn't super comfortable. The size is good, but I really wish it packed up smaller. It's on the bigger side if you want to take it backpacking. It's great in an Eno since it gives more support, cushion, and protection from the cold.

Sleeping pad review

Great pad, the built in pillow case slash stuff sack works great.

Great Mat for the Price

My 8 year old used this for three nights of tent camping. He was happy. I noticed that the side channels lost a bit of air by the end of the third night. It is possible he messed with the valve. I'd recommend this one, especially for the price.

Coleman thought of everything - almost

I bought 2 of these in anticipation of a camping trip with my daughter. I'm not an experienced camper and she's not one for roughing it. But knowing the temps in June in Oregon aren't going to be sleep-in-a-t-shirt weather, I wanted to add a pad to our cots for insulation. These pads were affordably priced for newbies like ourselves, but will likely upgrade if we camp often.

Surprisingly comfortable

We are in our 50's and wanted to make camping doable and these work for tent camping. Surprised how comfortable these were for sleeping on the ground! Did not feel as if we slept on the ground. You look at them and think no way, they are too thin but believe me they are more comfortable than it looks!

Deflated after an hour of use.

I bought the pad directly from Walmart in the store. I took it home and let it inflate for a few minutes. I inflated it further a bit as instructions said it was ok to do. Sealed it back up. I laid on it for about an hour. After the hour the thing almost completely deflated. I was on bare rock hard ground with this thing. I do not recommend this product. Save your money and buy a better product.

I would give it a 5 star review for comfort. Laid back on it and almost fell asleep.

Self inflating pad

I sleep so much more comfortable with this self inflating pad. It is easy to deflate also. It is not as compacktable as I would like though.

Great sleep pad

This is a great camp pad. We have used it both on the ground and also in our hammock. It is great for both. It is packable for backpacking because it is compact and somewhat light weight. It isn’t super lightweight but for the price, you can’t beat the weight and packability. Highly recommend!

Poor

Do not expect to use and get a comfortable nights sleep. Woke up every morning taking Advil to help with back pain. Very disappointed.

easy to use

I bought this for my daughter to take on a church youth group camping trip. She was very comfortable, and the pad was easy to use. She said she was able to roll it up and pack it back in the bag easily.

Love self-inflating mats the best

I purchased 8+ different camping mat/pads to test in my living room long before a camping trip. They ranged from self-inflating to closed cell to yoga style foam. The self-inflating are by far the most comfortable. 1" thickness would be the minimum I'd recommend (they are readily available in Walmart/Dicks for last min purchases). 2" is my favorite so far. They also make 3" but I've yet to test them. I tested 4” years ago but it was more like an extra hard/ ultra thin air mattress so I returned. Seems like 2-3" self-inflating is the sweet spot.

Solid buy

Used it once on a cold night.

inflates slowly. I helped it along by blowing it up. Took just a few minutes to do so. It was long enough and because I am not wide, it was OK, but if you are carrying a few extra pounds know that this item is quite narrow.
