It’s a diverted valve need to operate a shower. The price was good and it came quickly.

Plumber selected this to install new shower head and faucet and bypass in the shower. Perfect compliment to the Moen faucet!

First of all, Build.com has EXCELLENT customer service. Something went wrong and the cartridge (removed for soldering) came apart when the plumber tried to re-insert it. Build.com replaced it. I should have ordered a PEX version but didn't see it.

Wonky cartridge issue was resolved. Really should have gotten PEX compatible valve.

Seems well constructed and easy to replace the cartridge if needed.

The valve looks well built. I only wish the connections to it was more universal. You have to solder connect copper to the valve first, then you can change to pvc or whatever your plumbing is. I think if the connections were threaded you would at least be able to go direct to what your plumbing pipe is if it isn't copper.

Valve that arrived floating around in a badly smashed and opened box looks different than the picture shown, so I don't know if it is the right part. It also came with a plastic housing that is supposed to be used to fasten it to the studs, but the plastic housing is cracked or broken off in places and missing one of the two screws that should have been holding it on the valve body. Again, no parts list or instructions.

Be sure to get the valve along with the kit!

We have been undergoing a bathroom remodel and wanted something of commercial grade for the trim and shower fixtures Since this is the ONLY valve that works with the selected, for some reason unknown, our contractor could not solder or weld the proper fittings to this valve; when pressurizing the valve, it began to leak from the welds. So much for wanting something more than the common finishes. I guess that's why residential kits exist- for residential homes.
