It’s too wide, it’s easier to place loaf on the cutting board to cut. Even my extra large loaves are way narrower than this. It does store easily though

The knife takes the wood off when you slice the bread
My bread knife is too small got a 10 inch serrated bread knife on the way. Perfect for my home made bread machine loaves.

This cuts a perfect slice of homemade bread every time. Just be sure to use a bread slicer knife. Like it a lot, due to it folds up when not in use. Would highly recommend.
