[Rewarded Review] love the versatility

I actually chose 2 colors from the many Merola Tiles available with this design. I wanted two different colors (Compass Star White Stone and Compass Star Lava Stone) to alternate on the front facing part of my concrete steps which are all going to be re-done in the late spring of 2023. I've included a picture of the current steps which are falling apart so I won't be able to show a finished picture with the tiles until the steps are re-poured. I love how the tiles are able to be used outdoors and are frost resistant. Perfect for my application of using these to give more style to my outdoor concrete steps! As I said, there are tons of colors to choose from with the same design. They are 7-7/8" square, 1/4" thick, low sheen glazed ceramic, and made in Spain. My cottage is a charcoal gray so these 2 contrasting colors of off-white and charcoal gray will look perfect. I can't wait to install these tiles when the snow melts and weather gets warmer! Well-made tiles that look really high quality!!!

[Rewarded Review] Matte finish porcelain tile

A very solid and beautiful matte finished wall and floor porcelain tile. The tiles are 8x8 and appropriately a solid 1/4 inch thick. Not sure exactly how to explain this but the tiles surface feels "warm" to the touch. I suppose this is due to the matte, almost sanded finish on the surface. I will be using these as a back splash in the bathroom. One of my pictures is trying to show this finish I'm trying to explain. I hope they help.

[Rewarded Review] Subtly Stylish

This Merola Compass Star 8-inch tile has the look of crushed stone. There is a lot of detail in the gray-white background and the star pattern also has some subtle detail. The tile is just under 8 inches square, allowing a bit for spacing and grout to create a true 8-inch pattern repeat. Once you place multiple tiles together, a smaller version of the rosette star appears at the corners. Really nice pattern and detail.

[Rewarded Review] Nicely made tile

This tile is really nicely made. The finish is semi gloss/semi mat. It has a textured feel to it, which is appealing. The lines are clean, and the white stars contrast the black background in a complementary fashion. The thickness of these tiles tells me that they would easily work well on a floor, but certainly for a wall or backsplash as well. When the tiles are placed together, they create smaller stars in the four corners (see second picture). I am looking forward to finishing my project and updating with completed photos. I would definitely recommend these tiles.

[Rewarded Review] Beautiful tile with very low sheen

It is a beautiful tile at very high quality. There is a very low sheen on that does not reflect light and adds in its ability to hide dirt. The surface has a really slight texture to it , with each tiles texture being very different. Even the edges have a real slight texture - this will be easy to grout though its not overdone where grout will hang up. There are also variations in the color to make it look like natural stone - all done nicely and not fake looking. The pattern aligns good throughout. overall a high quality tile. I think it will look best with a small grout line, 3/16" was recommended on the packaging.

[Rewarded Review] Great as an accent

I made a huge mistake when I was installing hand bars in someone's shower and thought I had drilled through a pipe. Turned out that the copper pipe was used to provided support for the metal studs. It also turned out that the tiles were no longer available. I will be using six of the tiles to replace four of the existing tiles as an accent. The homeowner liked the star pattern as she has small stars in the trim above as well as a similar sand stone look. I do have to wait for their annual trip to Florida before I can start the project as they use the shower every day.

[Rewarded Review] Excellent looking quality tile

These 8 in. x 8 in. tile are very uniform an consistent. The Compass star looks really sharp when layed out on the counter top. As you can see in the photos, I am going to use these on a counter top and one row for a splash back along the wall. The thickness is prefect for fitting under the stainless sink edge. Will use a dark grout setting the tile at about 3/16" spacing. The back of these tile will accept the adhesive grout to ensure a tight bond to the counter. These are a high quality tile and will produce an excellent finish. 100% happy with this produce.

An exceptional tile from Merola with the Compass Star design in lava (charcoal grey/nearly black) background. The star is a very pale washed grey. The face offers plenty of texturing in the look without making the stone feel rough, so it will be easy to keep clean.
