We returned this because the color was not right and the “aged” look was too much. If that’s your style though it seemed like good quality.

No hardware or Instructions

This came in a beat up box, the metal is soft and was bent out of shape, it didn’t include hardware or instructions. I’m guessing we must have received one that had been previously returned. Also, the chain is not 3 feet, more like 18 inches measured, the wires are 3 feet.

Nice Modern Rustic Look

This is all part of my renovation of our 84 year old home, including new wiring, so my job took longer than normal, pulling wire for a two-way switch. As with many homes, old and new, stairwells tend to have high ceilings. Chandeliers are great sources of light for these areas because they spread the light from top to bottom of the stairs. Using new type LED lights can brighten up the area without drawing a lot of electricity. The one problem I had was that I didn't think to get all of the lights on the inside of the ring before tightening all of the other decorative nuts. You can tighten the first one to get it to stay still while you position the others. After all the threaded rods are in place, then I would tighten one from the other side of the ring away from the first, and then the rest. With that in mind, it's a relatively easy installation. You can see that the original light fixture left a larger footprint of unpainted ceiling. This can be fixed either with a medallion between the new fixture and the ceiling, or by simply cleaning up the area and painting. Either way would leave it looking great. When we paint the stairwell, I just need to loosen the nut at the top of the fixture (without lowering the whole thing) and just lower the ceiling cap. Tape up the cap and cover the chandelier to keep paint off. Too easy!

Nice light fixture

I got this light from Lowes. I assembled the light and hung it today. The light was very easy to assemble. It took only about 1 minute to put it together. Hooking up the electric only took a few minutes if you know how to hook it up.

it is very decorative and beautiful but was shocked no lights came with it- being it requires a specific light bulb giving the first set would have helped so you know what to buy going forward

Casual but elegant

Casual elegance is the best way to describe this light fixture. Casual because of the “barn” design, and elegant because of multiple small, chandelier bulbs. When my fixture was unpacked from the box, one plate under a candle tube was bent. I was able to bend it back to the right shape, so be aware that the metal is thin enough to bend but can also be bent back in to place. The unit comes with enough chain links to accommodate ceilings of all heights, and is fairly simple to install. However, I found out the hard way it is better to leave the arms folded during installation in order to give yourself enough room to work. Ignore number one of the installation instructions, save that step for last. Furthermore, there is a large screw in the center of the unit that holds everything together. When installing, it is better to barely screw it in to the mounting plate to insure there are enough threads for the screw collar’s collar nut to catch. Follow those two tips and it’s an easy road to attractive lighting. Using 60 watt B10 bulbs (the maximum recommended wattage) it is better not to look directly into the light, as there is ample illumination for any task. In my dining room we have it hooked up to a dimmer switch with dimmable bulbs so there is a full range of lighting to accommodate a family dinner or an intimate dining experience. Note that light bulbs are not included with this fixture, and you will need 5.

Great outdoor chandelier

I was having a really hard time finding a nice outdoor chandelier that wasn’t the typical metal square. Nor breaking the bank. For one I didn’t want to have to always clean the bugs out. Two I wanted some more unique for more light too. This worked great. Fit the space nicely. The budget too and also can be dimmed. I used a smart switch by Eaton/Halo and have it on a schedule with my soffit lights. Dimmed to 50%.

My all time favorite light in my new house, and the wife agrees so good there. Challenge to hang by myself, the fixture wire kept twisting around the chain, not fixtures fault. I use LEDs through our my house, but this this set a better mood with old fashion incandescent bulbs. Very happy with it
