Ordered this lamp in November — an exact replacement from one we had which broke after 12 years. Still have not received it.

Wie nicht anders erwartet, eben eine ARTEMIDE. Tolles Design, sieht einfach super aus. Mit der richtigen LED-Lampe macht sie nach unten sehr gutes Leselicht und durch den Satin-Lampenschirm wi rd der Raum dezent beleuchtet. Passt ausgezeichnet zu unserer modernen Möblierung (USM Haller, Eames-Sessel usw.)

The Artemide Tolomeo Mega lamp is elegant, well made and completely meets expectations. Galaxus delivery service was excellent. The lamp was delivered, as promised, within 2 days.

Buyer Beware!

I received the Standard Tolomeo Floor Lamp with the base damaged in three significant places. The box it was wrapped in and the box that it was shipped in were not damaged at all. The base was packed this way, not inspected and therefore a huge disappointment after opening all the boxes and wading through all the packing material. Then, YOU have to ship/return, cost to you, the damaged item back even though you have sent detailed pictures to customer service. My last purchase from DWR and I am a professional interior designer. Buyer Beware!

I have chosen the umbrella with a diameter of 32cm, which fits well for our living room and despite the size of the frame does not look too small. The great finale in the truest sense of the word

Let's get to the grand finale, the lampshade. The diameter of 42 cm can be taken from the product description, but ... wow, that thing is huge. Not just the umbrella, the whole Mega Terra itself. But well, Artemide certainly didn't choose the name Mega Terra by chance. A true monster - in a positive sense. The shade is again proportional to the size of the whole lamp. A small umbrella would look ridiculous. Functionally the shade convinces by its very soft and soft light. It does not produce a hard spot, but rather a diffuse light cone. Very pleasant, very practical, very enlightened. When it comes to price, the glider is in the same notch as the body and base, but let's put it another way: if you want to call the Mega Terra your own, you pay what it costs. One can wish for a cheaper price, but wishes are rarely respected in life.

Let there be light and shadow

The Tolomeo Mega Terra only begins to glow after the swivel arm and socket have been purchased and installed, or to put it another way: the body with dimmer. The assembly is easy, put the body into the rod, done. Screw the power cable into the socket, if available unscrew the shield and turn the bulb in. The illuminant of choice is the halogen lamp in an E27 socket. Depending on the location, a bulb with high luminosity may be required, but even a 77 Watt bulb with 1175 lumens is already too bright. Fortunately, there's a dimmer. Experience has shown that these things unfortunately start to buzz when you reduce the brightness. With the present specimen this phenomenon is still within limits, but it is definitely perceptible. Completely unsuitable however is this plastic part, which should embody on and off switches as well as dimmers. The thing does not fit at all to the overall appearance of the Mega Terra and looks simply cheap, shabby, scrapy. So there is something else to it, without discussion, good 320 € let us hope for more, for much more. A direct call to Artemide! That's not how it works! It's getting a little shady in the mind. Nevertheless, in favour of the positive overall appearance of the rest of the lamp, this small stain is probably accepted.

unfortunately a little grey/silver

we decided to use the white umbrella because we have a lot of white in our home and thought it would fit better than cream. Unfortunately the umbrella is not really white in daylight but shines rather grey/silver through the Satain.

You don't have to say much about the Tolomeo Mega Terra from Artemide - timeless, inconspicuous design and very high quality workmanship. Overall, the Mega Terra looks very elegant despite its size.

great lamp

We already have a few Artemide lamps and have long wished for the Mega Terra. Now we have finally "indulged" in them and are totally happy! Hopefully we will have many years of fun with the lamp. The stand is great and doesn't wobble. The lampshade can be navigated where you need the light and there is no cone of light, but the light is beautifully distributed.

Proud prize meets proud weight

A full-grown floor lamp, no doubt about it. Let's hope it doesn't grow any more, because the base alone weighs about 12 kg. Don't get it wrong: the dimensions of the complete Tolomeo Mega Terra and the range of the swivel arm require a very solid base to tame the lamp and give it stability. In addition, the foot (in black) also looks grandiose. Only the joining of base and rod requires a little skill due to the weight and size of the components, at least when there is no helping hand at the side. Speaking of standing: once the pedestal and staff are standing, nothing can shake them anymore. Melancholy can then only arise in the price, because for approx. 340 € it remains with a pretty black stick, which is in an even prettier black base. It just doesn't glow.

Great and sophisticated designer lamp

The Artemide - Tolomeo Mega Body with dimmer is a great and well thought out designer lamp for its price very well thought out and nothing comparable finds.
