Trying to put my frustrations aside on Wayfair not shipping all the boxes and having it take an extra month and multiple phone calls to finally get the pieces I need and focus on the Murphy bed. For the price we paid I can’t complain about the quality of the bed set. It really did take about 6 hours to put this together and I consider myself a decent handy man. The instruction got me a few times when I tightened a bolt and then shortly after was told not to tighten. That lead to a couple stripped screws and other challenges. It would be nice if when something wasn’t supposed to be tightened it would call it out immediately and not further down the page. After that I switched to the video which was pretty good. All in all I can’t complain. I wasn’t blown away by the quality but I got what I paid for. Less

Could do better

I'm amazed at how heavy the doors are and awkward to fix in place. Also, after service is terrible! I called many times to get advice on how to lock the bed in the open position.

Really pleased with the bed and how the whole process went from purchase to delivery to installation. We did the assembly ourselves and were very intimidated by the whole idea of it. However we took our time and it went very well. It's not for the faint of heart, that's for sure, but we got it done and were quite proud of ourselves! The only negative is that the instructions were not found in the box that implied they would be in, but rather in one of the boxes marked "Instructions not in this box". Note to self, open all the boxes and lay everything out!

I never had one of these but one of my friend has one and when I went to have a sleep over with her, I slept in one of these, and although I don’t have one of my own, and I would love to have one I could probably say that it is so comfortable and this is a lifesaver its stores a lot of your things and when you don’t want to but visible you just pull it up I would 100% recommended

I am very pleased with the quality of this bed. It took my son about 6 hours to assemble it. It looks beautiful. It arrived much earlier than expected.

This additional bed makes the space more versatile.

Broken Panel with chunk missing

Panel #31 is missing a large chunk, which would have been noticed during quality control as the edging was placed on the piece AFTWRWARDS. That means a human noticed that a large chunk was missing from the panel and decided to allow it to pass. The worst part is that the chunk is on the panel that is facing the door, meaning people will immediately notice a large chunk missing from the panel upon walking into the door. Would not have expected this type of poor quality issue from Bestar given the good reviews. We have contacted Bestar and are waiting to hear back. In the meantime, our guests don't have anywhere to sleep and we have a large unfinished project taking up an entire room. 👎 1 star is too high of a rating. We would give zero if the system allowed it. Ikea has better quality furniture, which is sad to say given the price point. At least with Ikea you can guarantee that there won't be entire chunks missing from panels. Less

So this Murphy bed was a very difficult install...took a full day and the pull down didnt quite close tight. the top piece had to be trimmed on a saw to ensure it closed tightly. Before you put the mattress on it...it really seems that you cannot hold it down, however the mattress did the job nicely. I put a nice Douglas mattress on it and we are very happy with the final outcome. The bed was such a good price and when closed up...it looks so nice. So happy that we got the white. It’s been five months and a lot of sleeping has taken place on that bed and we are still very happy with it!!!

We purchased this Bestar bed in November but waited to assemble the bed until we had new floors laid throughout our house. So we staged the boxes in our garage until the end of January, then begun to put the bed together. Everything went together perfectly & as planned, until we opened the last box that had the two doors. The box was undamaged, but inside, the bottom corners of both doors were damaged. I knew that we were well out of time to notify BB&B about the damage & expected to have to pay out of pocket to get new doors. I called CS, told them about our problem, emailed them my concern with images & to my dismay, BB&B took care of the problem, sent us new doors, we finished the assembly & absolutely LOVE the Murphy Bed! The bed looks great, operates great, & if you take your time, goes up w/o a problem & rather quickly. We have bought many things from BB&B, their CS could not have been any better & the way they handle this last purchase, they truly have a dedicated customer! Love the bed, love BB&B! Less

Quelques défauts dans l’assemblage et la finition

Excellent produit pour sauver de l’espace dans une pièce. L’assemblage est très long mais les instructions sont suffisamment détaillées. Voici toutefois quelques difficultés rencontrées avec le produit:1) Le nivelage du système est relativement complexe et nous ne sommes pas parvenus à obtenir un ajustement parfait. Le pied du lit butte contre la planche supérieure à l’ouverture et à la fermeture, ce qui rend le processus moins fluide.2) La planche supérieure nous a été impossible à fixer correctement. Les fixations nécessitent d’être serrées à l’aide d’un tourne-vis, mais cette étape n’était pas spécifiée dans les instructions. Même en serrant fortement les fixations, la planche tombe à répétition et on doit la tenir pour éviter qu’elle ne ressorte des fixations. À la fin de l’installation, la planche supérieure est tombée dès la première ouverture du lit escamotable et cela a endommagé la finition de la planche… Je trouve cela dommage car ce défaut est bien apparent. Je ne sais pas si des remplacements sont disponibles pour cette planche.3) Des collants sont apposés sur les pièces pour bien les identifier. Cela n’est pas un enjeu, sauf que l’un des collants de la pièce frontale (porte avant) a été appliqué *avant* l’installation des moulures décoratives, et il est donc partiellement visible sous cette moulure sans possibilité de le retirer.En somme bon produit dans l’ensemble mais l’installation/ajustement est relativement complexe et nous ne sommes pas parvenus à obtenir un fonctionnement idéal sans faire décrocher constamment la planche supérieure. Less

This is my first time purchasing from Beststar and I must save everything work great its takes some time to put together took me 8 hours but that's me being careful I would highly recommend this murphy from Beststar

Sorting all the various parts before assembly

Assembly instructions were good. I highly recommend sorting all the various parts, bolts, nuts, etc… prior to beginning assembly. The manufacturer could make this easier if they wouldn’t put all parts in one bag and use shorter part numbers. Didn’t see the need for 6-7 digit part numbers
