Incomplete Product

Before buying this product, I read a review that said the product was missing some things.....Yes! It was missing the pre-drilled holes necessary for attaching the chair seat to the frame! You will either have to drill your own holes into the seat, or glue the seat onto the frame. Once I solved that problem, I am satisfied with the attractive, sturdy counter stool that I assembled, but would not recommend this item to a non-"handy" person.

Classy, sturdy chairs

Ordered two of these stools in the cinnamon/espresso color. Love them! Classy looking with a tasteful color contrast. Slight wobble on our tile floor, but that could be the floor itself and not necessarily the legs of the chair. Nothing some furniture pads couldn't fix--no more wobble.

Decent

The stools are fairly easy to put together, when using a drill. They are relatively sturdy but wobble. Listening or tightening the bolts did not fix the wobbliness. Will need to use foam pad for the legs.

OK but not great!

The quality is OK for the price. However, the seat scoop (rounded out seat wood in shape of a butt is not deep enough. The scoop and thigh relief are there but just a very slight bit. The front leading edge of the seat is quite square. This edge should be more rounded with a router to avoid hard lip on back of thighs. I had one long bolt break while tightening by hand with the provided hex(Allen) wrench. Too much torque on my part? Maybe, but bolt was light weight and maybe undercut under the head where it snapped. No feet or cushioning provides for bottoms of legs. Appearance is good.

Sturdy and Look Great

These arrived on time and were exactly as described. they look great with my counter-top table. I have had them for some time and they are still quite sturdy. They are easy to clean, look great, and were very easy to assemble. I would definitely buy them again.

Great chairs that went very well with a table that was purchased separately. The chairs are very durable as I've had mine for eight years and four multi-state moves and they are still in amazing shape.The only thing I didn't realize when I purchased the initial two chairs was that they don't come in pairs. So I ended up having to buy another two to make a complete set of four. But it was worth it!

These are the perfect height for our counter. I used the buying guide to see which height was approyfor our counter. They weren’t too terrible to put together. I did require an electric drill to secure the seat but all in all very sturdy once they were fully assembled. The only downside is I now want to replace my existing dining room table!

Decent quality but minor difficulty with assembly

I would rate these chairs as 5 stars except there were two parts to the assembly that were difficult and poorly designed. The color is great. The seats are comfortable. They match in color and design to what is shown on the website. The assembly of the legs was easy. However, the assembly of the seat was tricky because there were no pre-drilled holes in the seat bottom, so you had to figure out where to position the seat on the frame to get it straight and aligned. Also, when you install the stretchers in the front and sides between the legs, the chairs became rocky and lost their level. It was tricky to twist and tweak things into place to get them to be level. I only was able to do it with one of the two chairs I ordered. I gave up on the second one, and finally just put a felt pad under one leg to level it off. It's not perfect, and I can live with it because it's definitely less annoying than packing up these oversized items and dealing with shipping it back. They do look really nice with my counters and I'm happy with the purchase overall. Less

Good-looking and sturdy

This chair is perfect height for our 3ft tall kitchen island. 2 tone cinnamon/espresso match the floor, island cabinet and counter-top colors well. The chair is very sturdy and just as good as new after 2 years. The flared rear legs offer secure seating as the chair won't tilt. Assembling the chair is no task, took me, a not so handy woman, less than half hour. Very happy with the purchase.

Happy With my Stools

I have gotten many compliments on these stools. My husband put each together in about 20 minutes. He said there are no pilot holes in the bottom of the seat, which just means that you have to decide exactly where you want the seat to be mounted to the frame. I bought these because I wanted a sturdy stool that my 2-year old could climb on somewhat safely, and as long as she climbs up the front of the stool I am confident that it will not flip. These also happen to fit my Ikea Ingolf chair covers but I do have to fold the back flap under. Overall I'm very satisfied, and I'm glad I opted for the mid-price stool instead of the cheapos.
