I've boiled water and made applesauce with this sturdy pot. I was very pleased to find the pot handles and lid handle remained cool when held.
This is my favorite pot to cook with in my kitchen. Basic and well made at a good price. Make everything from popcorn, pasta, soups and stews. And it’s big enough to cook a lot of food without being too big that it’s overly bulky and cumbersome.
Great price, great shape and depth, love the glass lid and extra roomy handle makes it easy to lift without burning my knuckles on the lid. It’s my favorite piece of cookware. Induction friendly, too!

heavy duty construction
This 6 quart stock pot is of heavy duty materials and of quality construction, and looks exactly like the photo. I really like the lid since it's reinforced around the edge. I made chicken stew last night on my induction cooktop. Yes, it heated up and cooked faster, but, I set it to the medium-low (no. 4 / 1000w) and the stew cooked perfectly and there was no sticking whatsoever on the bottom of the pot. Nor was there any marring on the bottom of the pot. I'm very pleased with this purchase (a very fair price) and will probably be purchasing a larger stock pot from this company.
