Easy install, looks great

Everything about this product is easy. From the template, to the push-in wiring, to the wing clamps...awesome. I installed five of these. From removal of old light to knock out of old junction box and install, it only took about 30-45 minutes per light. If no previous light and junction box, you could install in 10 minutes. One note to keep in mind... Some reviewers have made comments about how the metal flange only goes to a certain depth and doesn't fit properly... Well, if you're using full cone baffle and trim (socket supporting), you're supposed to take out the metal plate entirely. the socket then connects with two clips to the baffle. Easy. This product is great.

Easy to use. Especially like the brackets to secure to ceiling. Very helpful to use 6-3/8” hole saw to cut hole and can secures tight every time quickly and easily.

Good value easy to install. Wiring made easy.

These are great for swapping out old lights. Need a little muscle and maybe an OPT to get out the old 11B box. Also need a 6” hole saw. Very satisfied with results. (Note: not deep enough for the older PAR bulbs. Must use a newer LED one piece bulb/trim piece)

Installed 7 of these. Great design! Wish these were around 20 years ago. 1 of them had a defective/faulty ceiling lock.

Easy to use with a drawback

I prefer the way these remodel recessed cans are installed to the ceiling. The one drawback to call out is that the bulb mount depth is rather shallow, so an actual bulb will stick out. It cannot be adjusted deeper into the can.

Great Product If You're A Competent Installer

There is nothing wrong with this design at all, reviews made by incompetent installers will lead you to believe there is. Cut your hole using Milwaukee's 6 3/8" hole saw & these lights will fit PERFECTLY & they will hold in the ceiling without even using the wings. Of course you have to tighten them up with the wings but mine never fell out without them while installing. I use these standard size cans but they come in shallow as well. Great recessed light. Poor reviews are by poor installers

Note: the socket depth is adjustable. Set to desired bulb exposure before installing trim.

Replaced a loud fan with a light.

Had 2 loud fans. Replaced one with a LED light. Would have been an easy install, but had several trusses going off at different angles .

Not 6 inches

The hole cutout guide supplied with this product is NOT 6" or 15.2 mm. The hole guide is actually 6.25" or 16 mm. This made my 6" hole cutter useless so I still had to saw the hole with a hand saw and get my face covered in drywall dust.

Quick Install, Better than Other Options

I found this housing to be much easier to install than other options. Once installed, this has two screws to tighten the housing against the drywall. Other housing options use springs, which I have found to be difficult to set properly. This was much easier, like a new work electrical box. I also liked the built in wire connectors and wire protectors in the box.
