I was shocked

1st off I loved these feeders until a bear destroyed them and I came back to buy more. I bought 2 of these feeders in October 2023 for 16.99 each. August '24 their regular price is 31.99 but wait they are on sale for 26.99 today, What a bargain! I would have highly recommended these feeders because they are lovely but they are not 31.99 lovely.

This is one of the best feeders for your friends. We have had two of these for many years right outside our breakfast room window. It attracts bluejays, Robbins, dove, cardinals, and finches.

Great bird feeder

This one features a depressable button to lock the lid onto the body, which keeps squirrels out of it. Very useful! Except that the smart squirrels in my yard have started chewing on the button itself, little brats. Eventually they’ll break it, but when they do I’ll buy another one of these. It has taken them months to figure out how they might break it!

I've been using these for years. Between deer, wind and normal wear and tear I would buy a new one every 8 months or so. The materials have recently changed and now I've had two that literally broke after a week of just filling because materials are so flimsy. In addition they have made the wire at the top flimsy and the loop is now super small making it a circus feat to get it hung. Am looking for replacements from another manufacturer.

beware of ill fitting top

This is the 3rd one I have purchased hoping it may have been improved with time. Alas, it has not. The tops of all 3 are not stable as in it comes apart with very little effort from larger birds trying to perch, land or take flight from it leaving it askew allowing the seed to spill out to the ground. Definitely a poor design problem...everything else is ok.

Almost every feeder on the shelf in the store had defects/breaks. I was looking for this type feeder and thought I had chosen one without defects but it was broken between two seed slots at the bottom. I decided to keep anyway and it is working ok but loses more seeds to the ground. If it had not been broken it would have received 5 stars.

Poor packing!

I ordered 2 of these bird feeders. Upon opening the box, one could see they were poorly packed. One was scratched up but is still usable while the other was cracked in multiple places rendering it unusable. I have yet to hear back about a replacement or refund. I will not order another online from this shipper.

Love this Feeder

Had a tubular feeder before this purchased from another vendor. This feeder is so much better. I think it will be easier to clean as well. It arrived broken because of being packed with cases and large bags of pet food. It was replaced immediately.

This feeder replaced a finch-only tube feeder (we weren't getting any finches). I like that this takes any kind of seeds. I am using the “no-waste” variety, and though it took the birdies a week or so to find it, they have been coming to dine! I like the look — the red finish is really pretty. Too soon to say how durable it is. So far so good.

Birds love this feeder.

Ordered this to replace the same version I used for 8 years until a squirrel finally destroyed it. (Dragged it off its hanger and it fell 7 feet, breaking the plastic portion.) The birds always loved this feeder better than any other I've tried. Unfortunately, the new one arrived already broken and I have to return it.

My Favorite Feeder

I love this feeder %26 my birds love this feeder. I'm partially paralyzed and disabled from the drunk driving accent or I was run over and so now due to my physical limitations. I feel wildlife in my backyard right here in Taylor, Michigan. I have 18 different feeders and this is my favorite one. believe it or not, the birds love it. it's easy to fill. it is plastic. it's not bulletproof so you have to do. be careful with it but it is all wire. the lip feels good. it's ventilated well and my birds just thrive on them. I have eight of them. I ordered these last two and was very disappointed when Uber took me up there because they said my order was ready and they only had one and that gets old with Walmart. I have not had one order except very trash can out of five things I purchased go proper or correctly then I have to pay an Uber to take me up there when it says it's ready and they substitute it for something else or they don't have it. I think that's really bad

Don't hesitate to purchase!

I purchased 2 of these at Walmart that day. I owned one prior and was happy to find a feeder that was made mostly of metal and the perch was a good enough distance from the seed that the cardinals didn't have a tough time perching while eating. The only drawback I have found is that the squirrels will chew on the plastic seed holder and eventually the feeder is damaged beyond repair and won't stay together. I have owned many feeders over the years, but this has been the best one for my needs. Great product for a reasonable price.

Disappointed

was disappointed. if it rains, it leaks inside the feeder. which caused mildew. the rim on the feeder gets wet, and seeds become meldewed and sticks. the feeder looks good. unfortunately, it isn't up to par.

Best feeder I’ve ever had!

This is a wonderful bird feeder. It is lightweight with clear plastic sides and gorgeous copper finish. The top stays very secure, with a cord lock that you press a button to open. Pull the lock up and the top comes off easily. The wide mouth opening is easy to pour feed into. It can take most sizes of seed, but I find that feed with fruit in it stops up the bottom a little. When it rains, and the seed at the bottom gets wet, it can soak up a little bit inside the cylinder. So you have to take the dry seed out and then rinse it out really well. I use a clear round glass cover above it to help with that a bit. The birds really love it, because they can perch easily, and it’s big enough so that several birds can get on it at one time. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and we get chickadee, finches, sparrows, flickers, and juncos.. They really love the combination of black oil sunflower seeds, and peanuts. If you mix chili powder in with the feed, it discourages the squirrels. That’s important because it’s not a squirrel proof feeder. I have mine in a low tree next to a fence and I’ve not ever seen any squirrel in it. I love this product and bought another one so that I can have one in the backyard and one in front. It takes almost no time at all to get birds to come to it. Lovely feeder.

Great birdfeeder.

I really love this birdfeeder. I was a little hesitant to purchase due to some of the negative reviews posted here about shipping and receiving them damaged through the mail. Thankfully, it was packed very well and arrived and damaged. Our little birds love this feeder, although it’s a little too small for bigger birds, such as Cardinals and Blue Jays, but the locking mechanism on the lid helps when filling it up. I would definitely recommend and would buy it again.

I love it and purchased!

I really like the look of it. The smaller birds use this one every day. I still put a dish feeder out for the larger birds, this feeder doesn’t work for them. It keeps the seeds dry in the rain. The best thing about this feeder is that the Squirrels don’t bother with this feeder at all. I’m very happy with this purchase.

I have owned 3 of these units - The thing that breaks is the cable used to hold unit up. When I got my last one the cable malfunction occurred 10 days after I purchased it. The company sent me a new feeder quickly. There is a design flaw I wish they would address. The company is great and the feeder is very popular with the birds. Other units lasted a year.

Birdfeeder joy

I have tried many other feeders, but this one has proven to be the best so far. The seed stays dry! Both small and larger birds are able to feed. Squirrels cannot get to the seed because the feeder will spin as they attempt to steal the goods. Easy to fill and clean when needed. A good buy!

Birds love it

I had this exact feeder for three years until it was accidentally broken, so I replaced it. The birds have room to perch easily, and the seed does not fall out. Unless the birds toss it out it fills easily and the lid locks in place. It’s not squirrel proof but otherwise it’s perfect.

Best feeder for my yard

This bird feeder was larger and more robust than a similar one at a hardware store by my home for the same price. The birds love it and it attracts a wide range of birds from cardinals to finches. I would recommend attaching a large strainer to the bottom of the feeder to catch any seed or husks that drop. Prior to the strainer, the excess seed on the ground attracted the wrong kind of rodent.
