These tiles transformed an old ugly tiled ceiling on the cheap. I lied the pearl finish, too. Used spray glue VERY carefully and they went up quickly and easily. Would recommend .

Warped and unusable!

I Purchased these a while back to use on a future project. I purchased these tiles elsewhere previously and absolutely loved them so I was excited to find them MUCH cheaper through Walmart online. I'm finally working on the intended project so I opened the original shipping box that I've had stored in a controlled environment. The tiles are so warped! I set them on a hard, flat surface 2 weeks ago and piled heavy books on them...not a millimeter of movement. I've tried attaching them to the ceiling and the corners won't stick, they are too warped. Additionally, they are pretty beat up looking. I'm very disappointed that I'll have to purchase these again at the higher price just to finish my project.

Tiles look nice. Getting them to stick wasnt

I tried the recommended Loctite Power Grab All Purpose and it did not work on my smooth ceiling. Might work on popcorn but not smooth.

I was not expecting these to be thin styrofoam. A styrofoam plate is thicker. Too, I order from other on line companies a lot but am not typically charged for returns. I had to pay $11 to return these items that were never taken out of the original packaging. I will not be ordering from Wayfair any more. I only left one star because all reviews need at least one start to move forward.

I loved this pattern but it was too dark when I saw the real pieces. I returned this box and purchased Cobblestones, another A La Maison tile. The ceiling looks Lynnskiwonderful. I just hope it holds up to weather and possible insect or animal damages because they are very thin pieces of styrofoam and scratch or puncture easily.

Absolutely horrible quality. And cheaper than a flimsy foam tray you would get under a pound of ground beef! I ordered the green color and they sent a small piece of the foam painted green but the large tile came as just plain old chintzy white foam —— like I was supposed to paint it or some thing Why do you offer a color if it doesn’t come that way That’s false advertising as well. Don’t waste your money buyers!

Ceiling makeover!

Wonderful product! We painted the tiles ourselves so that we could match our trim. We also saved approx. $500.00 painting the tiles ourselves which was really nice. We are so pleased with this product that we may purchase again for our guest room. The tiles paint very easily

Very disappointed. The product itself looks good however when applied the gapping and inconsistency of the tile edges and corners creating a messy finished product. Contacted Wayfair, Wayfair contacted manufacturer to get answers on how to seal these edges (what to use without damaging) to make more seamless appearance with still no resolution. Would not recommend for that reason alone. Very disappointed!

At first when these came in, I was disappointed. I knew they were polystyrene, but actually seeing and feeling them was disheartening. It’s definitely styrofoam and looks cheap, not to mention the environmental impact. That being said, with a coat of paint it looks great. You can’t tell it’s polystyrene. It’s by far the most affordable option, especially covering our dreaded popcorn ceiling. It was quick and easy to put up, too.

Highly recommend this product. I knew they were styrofoam but was surprised at how thin they were, but with some chalk lines and loctite adhesive, a local handyman was able to hang them through our living room and dining room (my husband and I decided we will do this ourselves to our bedrooms, but the intricacies and size plus wanted new crown molding, so we hired someone for downstairs instal) We are putting these right over old cardboard tiles from the 60s. I do recommend painting them (we went with a cream) as they have a glossy Styrofoam look, but not “bad” unpainted.

Our older home has plaster walls and ceilings. You cannot avoid the eventual cracks and damage. These tiles are perfect for covering these eye sores as well as covering old popcorn ceilings. You do have to scrape it until smooth, but it is so worth it. Installation is definitely a two person job, but fairly simple. I plan to order more and put them in my dining room.

Read other reviews so I knew that I was going to pull out these tiles (which are essentially oversized pieces of styrofoam) and think the product looked incredibly cheap. I did have a moment of doubt, but gave it a chance like others who reviewed this product and those similar urged me to do. So glad I did! Made such an impact in my daughter’s new playroom! We wanted to cover the ugly cracked plaster ceilings in our historic home built in 1924. These tiles were perfect! We didn’t paint them, just glued them as is. What a difference! They look beautiful! Highly recommended for the price. About $100 for us to transform a room that is about 95 sq ft!

Easy to paint, easy to install, easy to cut. If you screw up, it's easy enough to use paintable caulk and fill the mistake and paint it with the metallic paint. The problem is that it takes several coats of paint to hide the white. I suggest a dark latex paint prior to applying the metallic paint. The paint needs to be thoroughly dry between coats or there will be serious pick-up. I used Rust-Oleum Metallic Accents Metallic Bronze. For 110 square feet, it took 3 quarts of the paint. I made the mistake of NOT using a darker primer base coat. With the photos shown, I hadn't completed the finishing work. I still need to caulk and do paint touch up.

These Glue-up ceiling tiles really must have the proper adhesive. We used a glue that was okay at first but as it turned out, it is not advisable to use when it is hot, and it was very hot that day. There was a bit of shrinking in a few spots due to our mistake. I finally used vinyl wallpaper paste to secure them. That worked very well. The tiles are pretty! Just be careful, and follow the directions, and they should be just fine.
