poorly engineered

I purchased this door because of the door handle style. I had previously installed a dreamline door when I remodeled my master bath and was really impressed with the quality of engineering but they didn't have quite the style I was looking for in another bathroom I was doing in my house. I went with this Ashton model. Big mistake. There is no comparison in the quality of engineering. the Dreamline is much better quality. I wouldn't know any better if I hadn't installed the Dreamline first. The Ashton needed 5 holes drilled in the tub for mounting purposes. Dreamline uses one. The quality of the materials and the way the upper rod mounts needs much improvement. This Ashton model also stated it was reversible, which should mean the it has the glass coating to help with spotting on both sides of both pieces of glass. That was not the case when I unboxed it. When I called to inquire about that problem no one ever answered or returned my call. The mounting materials aren't as high quality as the Dreamline I installed. I can't comment on the quality of other shower door companies, but I do know there are several others that are high quality also. I am just speaking from my experience. I would not recommend this product. I would purchase another brand.
