Junk – don’t buy it!

The stove was great for about 6 months. Then thermostat died in the oven. A repairman come to fix it- $$$ only to tell us he couldn’t get parts bc the oven is made in Italy. Then 2 burners stopped working - bad coupler. My husband fixed one but the other one spews yellio flames, black soot and stinky carbon. The biggest burner pops and sputters and is very loud. We have tried cleaning disassembling replacing couplers, YouTube, etc.. It’s crap. Don’t buy it. It looks nice, but that’s all.

Disappointed all around!

What it’s lacking: There is no “ready” indicator for the oven, the lighting on the panel useless, one can not read the value on the knobs for temperature or burner, no timer for oven, the indicator light on oven goes on and off as the oven regulates it’s temperature (this is both confusing and frustrating) and we had to install conversion kit from natural gas to propane and it runs hot meaning you can have high and medium high but not low and forget about simmer. Additionally, there is no cleaning option on this oven and putting foil on the bottom is not allowed per the writing on the bottom. I had to purchase an extra oven rack to put on last rung for a special order baking sheet to catch drips and spills to help keep the oven clean. What I like: the size and the style. It is a striking oven and looks great in our new remodeled kitchen. Because of Lowes' restocking fee we won’t be returning it. But had I to do all over again, I would not purchase or recommend Cosmo or Lowes. We are disappointed in this expensive purchase. The reviews were misleading. One a side note: The first oven delivered was damaged and had to be returned. It’s been 6 weeks since it was return to Lowes and we still have not received the credit from Lowes. Annoying and very frustrating! Have made several calls and still no credit on my Lowes card.

This oven will break every 12 months

We purchased this oven in 2022, almost 2 years to date. We use it regularly, and loved it in the beginning. However, almost one year to the day that it was purchased, the ignition for the oven went. We contacted Cosmo support and the part was on back order. We waited and it finally came in. Once replaced it went back to working just fine for one year.

Malfunction range

We bought this range in December 2022. By April 2023 the burners weren’t working properly and the oven made a ticking sound. I called in cosmo customer service and instead of sending a technician they only send 2 parts for I to have it replaced. Eventually I had it fix and by November 2023 while using the oven it would automatically turn off, and once again making a ticking sound. On June 2024 the oven exploded while not in use and causing fire in my kitchen. I don’t recommend buying in cosmo.

The stove was delivered on the curb. Stove was very heavy and to get help to get in on the porch then in the house. When I hooked it up it did not work. Cosmo has been difficult to get it repaired. Still dealing with trying to get it repaired now for over a month. Had to put out an added expense and still did not work. I have been going back and forth with Cosmo customer service. They only approved the technician to diagnose it and sent parts. Technician still waiting for approval to repair it.

DO NOT BUY THIS RANGE!

I have had this stove installed since November of 2022. I have had absolutely no luck dealing with cosmo customer service. I have replaced the oven igniter 3 times and it’s burnt out yet again! Love the range top but the oven sucks!!! It’s plenty wide enough but not deep enough to fit a sheet pan. I even have to turn cookie sheets side ways to make them fit. Totally not worth the money!!!!

Don’t buy this

We bought this in 2017 have had problems with it from day 1. The center burner ‘pops’ like there’s air in the lines. Two of five burners constantly fail. The worst part is the oven won’t get hotter than 250 degrees no matter the setting. We’ve had servicemen out (and that’s very costly) and none have ever been able to fix it or even order parts. The only nice thing about this hunk of junk is that it looks nice. Don’t buy it. Get an American made stove.

Cosmo/ Best Bu won't fix or replace damaged stove

I purchase the who set of appliances for my kitchen, stove, microwave oven, and beverage center. Unfortunately, the work took longer than expected, and when ready to install there was cosmetic damage to the unit. They sent me a replacement part and we attempted to install. but after trying to use it, the door frame is completely out of line, and of course the 30days has passed. Now they won't replace or attempt to fix, they are completely wiping their hands after I spent over $10K. Now I'm worried about the remainder of my appliances, if I knew I would have purchased from a company that stands behind their products. And heads up I also purchased the extended warranty, and no one will still help.

Buy at your own risk

Purchased this unit 14 months ago and the oven stopped heating already. $3,000 stove and already having issues with it. Called the company and item only has warranty for 1 year so I need to find a technician to come and repair it at my own expense.

DO NOT BUY. WORTHLESS TRASH. READ MY REVIEW

DO NOT BUY COSMO APPLIANCES UNDER ANY CONDITIONS. They are discounting these stoves because of the constant mechanical problems. And their customer service is terrible. We bought two stoves for two different houses. The ignition went out on both stoves, then heating "element" died on one of them. The electric lighting system died on BOTH. The burners are faulty and emit uneven gas streams. And the circular knobs and top edge of stove front, get DANGEROUSLY HOT when oven is on. RUN.

I love this range - form, function, quality!

We bought this last August so Ive had plenty of time to use and evaluate my new gas range/convection oven. May I just say how much I love it! It is beautiful, it is solid and it is well made. It is extremely easy to clean due to the quality of metals. The burners are elegant, the flame is beautiful and all things stove top cook quickly and evenly. I like the addition of the griddle burner - a great feature. The grates are solid and provide a large cooking surface. The oven is gorgeous and the shelves push/pull flawlessly. I didnt think Id like the convection function thinking it might be noisy but it is whisper quiet. My breads cook beautifully and evenly and in less time. The small drawer below (enough for cookies sheets or jelly roll pans) glides in and out so smoothly. Honestly, I love everything about this range - form, function, quality. It is just so well made!

i don't understand these 5 star reviews.

hello, i need bigger, more accurate range. i consider this unit but was not impressed. then i noticed all the silly 5 star reviews. let me point out. this stove doesn't have a digital temp for anything. it doesn't have a timer, clock, or duel doors (handy if one has short arms). most importantly it doesn't have auto shut off for those all night cooking traditions. last thing i want is to wake up to a turkey thats filled my house with smoke. js who is buying these things?

Run away from Cosmo appliances

We have had a terrible experience with our Cosmo oven purchased from Lowe's. Our builder purchased the oven, and installed it in our brand new home. The oven has never worked properly, as it has been determined that it either has a manufacturing defect, or was dropped at some point in the shipping process. Neither Lowe's or Cosmo have stepped up to the plate to assist. Cosmo, after 3 months of back and forth with their customer service and sending out their recommended service company who said that the oven is not repairable, says that they are still working on a resolution. In other words, they are hoping that we tire of them stretching out the process and eventually go away. Never have we ever dealt with such a difficult company to get in touch with and respond. We have been without a workable oven in our home for over 6 months. Definitely not acceptable. If this is any indication of their quality and customer service, please do not consider purchasing a Cosmo appliance. This is the first negative review we have ever left for any purchase.

Bigger on the inside? Smaller on the outside.

This unit is pretty. The blue lights are nice but do not really add to the functionality as the knobs are shinny chrome and the temp numbers\icons are lost in the glare. It would be better perhaps if they were offset or the knobs were black, which would match the top. The separated basins are a plus and will contain boil overs. They are also high gloss black. We'll see how that holds up to heavy use. The burners themselves have a lightweight cast iron lid that covers the gas distribution and the spark plugs, which is nice. The burner rise is again polished chrome, which I anticipate will take on a lovely heat patina. The flame is wide and offers a splendid range from simmer to BOIL NOW. The oven heat relief at the back of the burners point up rather than at the burners preventing moisture build up and spark issues. The oven is indeed spacious but disappointedly so. The racks have a lip at the back which prevent putting in a full size sheet pan or even two half sheet pans side by side. A full size sheet does fit and I will be looking for flat racks that will accommodate. I know this is for air flow but come on, just make the overall box 2" deeper. It does not fit as well as the unit it replaced for this same reason. The convection fan is noiseless and does a great job on cooking foods evenly. I have not tried the broiler yet so no comment. Lastly the drawer at the bottom. This is very shallow and will only hold a few half sheet pans but the real issue is the proximity to the oven sub floor which swells from the heat and prevents the drawer from opening. Get your pans out before you preheat!

Cosmo Range 366

Purchased this online and have used only for a few days. Unfortunately, was not aware of an lp conversion kit needed. We needed to order from thew company directly (Cosmo) and were charged $55. Also had to wait about 10 more days until the conversion kit arrived before it could be installed. In addition- no instructions were provided (kit). We had to switch the broiler and oven adapters a second time as they were not labeled well. With that said the unit looks nice. I enjoy using the stove and oven. I am very disappointed the oven is not as deep as my 30” I replaced despite boasting the large 6 cuft oven. My pan must turned sideways limiting how much I can fit inside the oven. The LED lights are a nice feature along with the large oven window. However, labeling on the knobs could use improvement as it is hard to read. Website states 2 oven lights. Only 1 is present. The size of stovetop is great for a large family. I cook from scratch and also do quite a bit of canning. Plenty of space for this. Overall it is a fine unit. Would suggest the option of purchasing a unit fitted for natural gas or liquid propane to avoid the issues we experienced.
