Bought to assemble a diy desk with hairpin legs also from HD. Despite the name, it doesn't feel like hardwood and has a kind of plasticky finish. Surface probably adequately durable for use as a workbench, but for my purpose, I wish the finish were a little more natural. Can't complain about the price, though.

My shop is small, so having the flexibility of a folding bench is very handy. Pro Tip: drill 3/16 pilot holes into studs before installing lag screws, and maybe spray the screws with a little WD-40 as well. That will keep them from binding and snapping the heads off.

Fold Down crafts table

Easy to install. Sturdy and solid. Easy to fold down when not in use

Overall the bench is pretty good. One of the brackets doesn’t quite function properly so when I lift the bench-top it doesn’t latch, I have to reach under and tug it around to get it to latch. Kind of annoying but once in place it works nicely. It is quite thin against the wall when folded down which works well for tight spaces.

I had to return the first one I received and order a second one. The second one is pretty good and is as advertised. The first one I was very disappointed in Home Depot, or their supplier of this product. The top had a crack in it. The manufacturer attempted to fill it with Wood Dough and ship it as a new product. This I found very disappointing, passing it off as new and not indicating it was defective or a factory second and causing me to have to deal with a return and re-order. I called customer service, they really had no ability to do anything but have me return it. In the end, I have a working product, which seems decent. However, very hesitent to want to order anything again.

Great device, well made, very sturdy construction, installation was straightforward. It works like a charm in my garage without taking up precious space. If I have a need for such a device anywhere else in my house, I will get another one of these.

Beautiful and utilitarian folding workspace

Attractive, fits any space. I have it in my small office / sewing room. Love that it can be installed at just the right height for me, as I am tall. I don't have to stoop over anymore. Easy to install, although it does need two people for final assembly. Easy to fold up and easy to drop down for storage. Pretty close to wall when folded away - small standout from the wall.
