Good rug. Lays flat. Nice color.
I got this rug in red at a great price. It arrived quickly and looks fabulous on my fall entryway porch. Such a fun pop of color that ties well into my seasonal decor. I expect to leave this up through the fall. It lays flat and is soft underfoot.
Welcome addition to our porch!
We'd been looking for a large enough rug for our porch. It's difficult to find a big indoor/outdoor rug. This one fits the bill! We purchased the green version and it is very attractive. The only con is that the edges are thicker but they so far are lying flat enough to not create a tripping hazard. Recommend!
5 Stars
This brand of rug is consistently dependable. The sizes available and colors are perfect to update any area in your home. I used two of these in my kitchen. They fit perfect under the sink and under my prep area. They are a little wavy when unrolled. I found if you re- roll the rug in the opposite direction the waves will relax in a few days. They are easy to spot clean but will need a rubber pad when using on a wood floor.
Probably outdoor only
I bought this for an entrance rug. It's pretty outdoor only as far as the quality. Nothing even remotely indoor looking about it. Also, the original price of this was stated at $200+++ dollars. It was a huge reduction with a sale price of $70 ish, so I really thought I would be getting much higher quality. This is probably a $40 max rug.
Attractive but inferior
This rug arrived folded, not rolled on a center cardboard roll. Being of a plastic nature, these folds may never come out. In addition, there were about ten pulled threads. Hideous and right where they will show the most. Returning expenses and processing seemed more work than living with the rug until it fades, which I'm guessing won't be long. The color is great, design nice. I won't buy this brand again, and I'll approach Overstock with caution.
Nice rug
Very nice looking rug. I have it outdoors on our wood deck where it looks nice but if it rains you're waiting for it and the wood underneath to dry. I haven't been able to use right after It rains because it's so wet. It may work better on a cement patio with access to direct sunlight. What's nice is that you can use a hose to rinse this off and get rid of muddy shoe and paw prints. I would also say this would be nice for indoor use as well in high traffic areas.
I like this rug
I like this runner rug. I'm hardly an expert when it comes to rugs. I've only purchased a couple of bath mats in my life. But I'm satisfied with it. It does what I purchased it for.,,,,,,,,Our upstairs hallway is long, and it has fake hardwood floors, and they are slippery. Our dog has three legs and he falls a lot on the floor. I purchased two of these runners to lay across that hallway. He still has some spots where he has problems but these rugs have helped a lot.
Heavy Duty rug
It took a couple weeks to finally lay flat. The pictures are true to color so it is a little dull/nuetral tones. This is a heavy duty rug but very thin and provides absolutely no cushion under the feet at all. i'm using this as an entry rug and wouldn't bring it any farther into the house than that. It holds up well against dirt, sand, ect and is easy to clean. Definitely an outdoor rug though. Does what its suppose to and i think will hold up really well over time.
Really nice rug!
I have always bought rugs for my back porch for under $50 from Home Depot, and they have been disappointing. So I spent a lot more money this time ($150) and I love my new rug!! It is soft (not in a plush way, it's very smooth/flat) and feels good underfoot. It looks GREAT - nice neutral colors in an interesting design. All around an A+ winner. Didn't give it 5 stars because I am concerned about durability. I will try and remember to review again in a year or two. I worry that the woven design could look bad if things nick the material and it unravels. Maybe it will be fine, but I don't know yet.
It'll Floor Ya!
So, I've been living with the Safavieh Grey/Bone Indoor Outdoor Rug (2'x2 x 14') for right at a month now. It's sitting on top of beautiful hardwood flooring, and i have to say, adds a new dimension to the entire hallway. The not-too-fussy pattern is appealing to the eye, and the tones blend perfectly in a neutral setting. As for the feel/texture, I like the fact that it's a bit dense and "rough"...natural! I suspect it would lend itself very well to outdoor use. ,,,,,,,,Oh, one more thing...it wasn't easy finding a hall runner that is 14 feet long. I ALMOST had to resort to buying two 7 ft. runners and have them "attached" on the underside. Whew...this one solved that issue in one fell swoop, at a price that's less than I originally planned to pay for one 7 ft. runner!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'm OVERJOYED with my OVERSTOCK purchase! Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right size rug for my living room?
Aim for a rug that fits all the main furniture pieces on it or at least the front legs of sofas and chairs to anchor the space.
Can I layer rugs for added texture and interest?
Absolutely, layering rugs can add depth and dimension. Pair a larger, neutral rug with a smaller, patterned rug for the best effect.
What's the best way to clean and maintain my rug?
Vacuum regularly, spot clean spills immediately, and consider professional cleaning for deep stains or at least annually for high-traffic rugs.
How does rug size impact the balance of my living room?
A rug that extends the full length of the sofa can help balance the room. A small rug can make the sofa look disproportionately large.
What should I consider when positioning rugs in relation to doors and furniture?
Ensure the rug doesn't obstruct doorways or get caught on the doors. It should also not interfere with the operation of any cabinets or cupboards that open into the room.
Are there practical tips for maintaining rugs and prolonging their appearance?
Rotate your rugs annually to even out wear and fade, and address spills or flattening promptly to maintain their look and feel. For more substantial size or shape adjustments, consider having rugs cut and edged professionally.
What are some considerations for choosing a rug in relation to the sofa?
Select a rug large enough to cover the area beneath the entire sofa, which helps in unifying the space and balancing the room's proportions.
What is the recommended rug size for a living room with a sectional sofa?
The rug should not be shorter than the length of the sofa and should be wide enough to fit under all pieces of a sectional, or at least allow for the front legs to be on the rug.
Can I use a round rug with a rectangular table?
Generally, it's best to match the shape of the rug with the table. Therefore, avoid pairing a round rug with a rectangular table and vice versa for visual harmony.
