Compact, neat, nice finish - perfect for a small area. Be aware that the single drawer is very small and won't hold much more than a few writing instruments and a small notepad. Looks like a high end peice of furniture.

It was a disappointing purchase. Too expensive for the condition that it arrived in. Had a noticeable blemish on the surface and peeling topcoat.

This is beautiful. Easy to assemble and unique. Came with some scuffs on the surface but that's life.

This desk is pretty. Its a solid and compact piece of furniture. Assembly was easy, and it has no wobble issues. We use it as a small corner desk for our tween in the diningkitchen area for supervised homework time. The rest of the dining room pieces are antique white oak this desk is able to harmonize with the color scheme. It does not look out of place.

The Gifford desk is exquisite and classics, very worth buying, this is my favorite desk I have ever bought. Its quality is commendable.

I am absolutely delighted with this desk. Working from home, I got sick of an ugly office setup in my living room. Replacing my inexpensive computer table with this desk makes a big difference.

PROS: The desk has excellent craftsmanship, and is a beautiful piece of furniture that is securely packaged and easily assembled.CONS: The color and the dimensions were not as shown in the displayed photo and illustration. Consequently, the desk did not fit my color scheme and designated space so that I had to return it. The platinum cherry is a very dark brown without any reddish tinge. The depth needed is 20.5 inches, and the height is 30.25 inches.

Drawer is finicky and sticks, legs had to be realigned because of a wobble, overall OK, three stars because 400 price is a little on the heavy side for this piece.
