STILL WAITING for my order.....

As of today, Nov 6th, I still have not received the Cuisinart Chiminea Fire pit which was to be delivered by Nov 4th, and I paid $40 to have the Fed Ex delivery. I keep checking onsite and it seems to be stalled in AZ with no updates since "shipped" Oct. 27th. I have received no feedback from Fed Ex nor from Crate & Barrel.

It arrived in great condition. Husband put it together. He said it was a pain here there, but finally got it. The button starter does not work which results in lighting it with a lighter. Not good. It’s cute after it’s lit.

The look is amazing and the heat comes off it quite splendidly!

The assembly was so awful on this product that it negated anything positive that I could have said about it. The instructions were incomplete and very few of the screws matched up perfectly. My husband and I are seasoned assemblers and this took us 4 hours. I never would have purchased it if I had known how annoying it would be. Good luck if you buy it!

It is a very nice looking fire pit when completed. However from my experience it was a difficult assembly. Misalignment of several holes. Needed 2 more bolts and nuts than provided. My chimena may have been an exception, but when assembling, a person will need a few more tools than a phillips screwdriver (drill, tin snips, a small clamp or vice grip pliers to hold parts in alignment.

We haven't lit it up yet because we need to get a tank but it went together fairly well and we had no left over pieces or parts :)! That is always a plus with us. It kind of looks bigger in the picture than it really is but it is well made and I think it will work well for what we need. Can't wait to get a tank and use it!

Beautiful, warm, and follow lighting instructions! Pretty easy to assemble...I did it on my own.

Great little outdoor fire pit-- we were pleasantly surprised by its size and the amount of heat it gives off. I recommend purchasing the cover as well.

Was a bit tough to assemble but when it was finally done, found it to be pretty amazing and easy to use. Staring into the flame is quite mesmerizing. This is so convenient, it has obsoleted my solo stove.

The lava rocks get hot and pop out of the fire causing a fire hazard and possible physical harm, is there a screen or have I arranged the rocks incorrectly?

Assembly was a challenge. Some pieces didn't line up and instructions were not clear.

Nice but not perfect

We'll be using this in our new screened in room on our deck. The assembly was a bit frustrating. I had installed something incorrectly and by the time I had figured it out, I was multiple steps beyond that. I had to undo those steps to correct the mistake. Instructions could be clearer in a few spots.

Looks great- modern edge. Flame is perfect and I love that you can adjust size of flames.

Customer support from Cuisinart nut very good ! Rep had no knowledge of fire pit . Fire pit it self is worth trouble once I figure out pilot problem not align with the thermal couple !!!!

Defective

So disappointed in this product. I was very excited to use it. Began to build it and half way through two parts were defective. Cuisinart said they could not help do to supply issues. I had to call Home Depot, take apart fire pit and drop off at a UPS store. Such a pain! Don't throw the box away until you know it works....

[Rewarded Review] Worth every cent

This is the best fire pit around. The amount of heat it gives off is just what we needed on our back patio. Make toasting marshmallows so much easier than the traditional top fire pits. As far as the reviews of people saying it was hard to put together, I am a mom and had my two year old son running around and it still only took me 1 hour to assemble. It was super easy. Loved how the instructions were easy to understand and every screw was labeled. Highly recommend this fire pit. If i had to list one con someone could have it would be there is no saftey screen and it may pose a danger to unattended little ones. As long as the kiddos are being watched and are not sticking their hands in the fire, there is no cons in my opinion.

DO NOT BUY!!

This is too expensive to have so many problems!! Holes do not line up, different parts sent than manual. A complete nightmare and HD customer service is the WORST!! Such a disappointment!
