Intricate pattern and texture you can feel.

This set of dishes is really nice. I thought it would be a printed pattern, but the pattern actually has a texture to it (like glaze over the stoneware in an intricate pattern). The textured pattern still cleans-up well in the dishwasher too. I really liked the unique style of the set (i got the darker brown color). Note, I am a full time employee of Bed Bath & Beyond and received a free sample in exchange for my honest opinion. I'm really happy I got this set. Seems like good quality that will last a long time.

Stylish and durable!

This set of dinnerware is stylish and extremely well made. I was impressed by the weight of the dishes - definitely feels like solid, quality stoneware. The pattern has good texture, not just painted on, which also adds to the quality of this set. I like intermixing them with my white dishes to add some variety. I love the style of these dishes, they got with my home perfectly! They have weight to them and have a rough feel to them they are not smooth like normal dishes. Unique pattern! Earthy look and feel.

First of all I love the texture! The plates are not smooth but very slightly bumpy due to the inlay looking weave texture. Really cool to me. Second, this is alot of dishes for the money$! I have a family of 7 and I love that this set covers all my bases. THis set feels like stone wear. The bottom rim of each dish is unfinished and raw. That looks and feels good to the touch. THe paint is matte and also feel earthy. Add the texture of the top to the mix and overall a very nice unique set in my opinion! The dark brown should go nicely with silver and glass. I look forward to using them/ The flaws: A few of the dishes are splotchy in places. See photos. If this bothers you then you might be put off a bit. Buyer Beware this is a return item.

For this specific pattern the glaze is extremely poor quality. What I thought was a camera flaw in the picture is 10 X worse on these dishes. Every piece has missing patterns and color variations. Do not purchase or you'll be lugging it back to Walmart like I am.
