Hard to turn

I installed this and it was hard to turn on and off, I would return it but I disposed of the packaging. I called American Standard and they sent me a new one for free and it was much easier to turn fixed my problem

to expensive to be an aftermarket replacement part.

The Danco did not fix my leak. So, I purchased an OEM cartridge and the leak stopped. Don't buy the aftermarket for American Standard shower faucet.

Must not tighten the three screws too tight.

It works as it should. But don't overtightened screws.

Simple fix if you have standard tools.

Cured problem of only the hot water was flowing.

It worked very well. Thank you.

Shower valve works to address temperature control

Works perfect and fixed hot/cold issue with bathtub faucet when filling with water. Make sure you replace the cartridge at the right orientation and do NOT overtighten the screws to secure it.

Exactly what I needed

I was faced with having to replace the entire valve in my older shower just because of the type of innards which would've cost me thousands. Because I was able to find this part at supply house, it cost me less than 30 bucks and I was able to replace all the trim myself. Kudos to you all.

buy the OEM for a couple of dollars more online

Sub par for about the same price as OEM, Lowes should carry the OEM part..

Make sure to get to get Pressure Balance Unit

Great replacement at great price. Was able to pick it up at my Lowes. One important thing to note: make sure you also pick up an American Standard Pressure Balance Unit (Kissler SKU:46-2100). I had read this on another thread and got it at the same time. I changed the cartridge first but it didn’t fix the leak, then I replaced the pressure unit and the leak stopped. The pressure unit is behind the cartridge held in but a screwed on metal piece.

Bought a defective item do to return just put back on shelf.. box was opened before purchase.. need to tell your workers to do a better job.. plus you need people that work in there departments to be there waited over 25 minutes for someone to help
