Perfect product

I am very impressed with this company. I am a first time customer and they were everything that I helped for. The product is excellent. The delivery was perfect. Absolutely no complaints. I will use them again. The sofa that I purchased from illustration was exactly as described. The price was very good as well.

Totally Surpised!

When I went to the store I had a totally different sofa in mind, but when I arrived, I was disappointed to find that it was not what I expected. I started looking around trying to stay within the same price point and came across this sofa. I'm not a fan of the microfiber but I went with it because it was surprisingly comfortable. After leaving the store I started to feel buyer's remorse because of the material and everything that I didn't want, and I felt I was compromising. Surprise! I have the sofa one week and I actually love it!

Best Sofa I ever owned

Love it. This is my second purchase of the Darcy Sofa. First one I purchased in 2014 in the red color. Was time for an update, at first I purchased a sectional from Wayfair - big mistake (don’t ever purchase sofas from them), I returned it 2 1/2 months later and went back to my favorite Darcy Sofa from Ashley. This line is comfortable, stylish and very durable - my previous one survived some rather rough on furniture guests. Hoping Ashley continues to carry this product line because when I need an update in 10 or so years from now I plan to purchase again.

Just what I wanted!

I love my Darcy sofa and ottoman! They both look great in my new studio apartment. The pics do not do it justice. Looks even better in person.The sofa is firm but yet soft. You're sitting up high without sinking in. The guys that delivered it were so nice and kind. They were in and out within 8 minutes. Just had to drill the legs on. Now it's time to decorate! Thank you Ashley.

Comfortable and animal friendly.

I have a cat and of course my biggest fear is her claws tearing up the fabric. I've had the couch for a couple weeks now and my cat has been on it daily. She's walked on it and kneaded biscuits. Her favorite spot is laying on top of the back of the couch. So far, there are no tears or holes. This couch is definitely animal friendly. It's also pretty comfortable to sit on as well.

It's Not for Me

The first morning after my sofa was delivered and installed in my living room, I wanted to return it, but Ashley would not allow that. The new sofa didn't have the comfortable feel of the floor model in the Emeryville store, possibly because that one had been broken in over the years. When I sat down on my new sofa's cushions, there was a crunchy sound, like sitting on a pad of plastic straw, and it felt much firmer than I expected. On the positive side, it had an elegant contour, soft fabric, and the color was very beautiful. Ultimately, I decided it was way too big for my living room (I'd also purchased two matching Darcy side chairs), so I donated the sofa and two chairs to Habitat for Humanity. Somebody else is loving it.

it still sofas just doesnt sleep anymore

So the sofa sleeper looks exactly how it did online. I originally got a sofa sleeper incase I ever needed a company to stay over I wanted them to have more then just a couch as an option to sleep. For 6 months after I bought this sofa sleeper I never needed the sleeper option. Then I had a guest that wanted to use the sleeper option and we saw that for 6 months we had the wrong piece of furniture. They sent us a sofa and not a sofa sleeper. When I called they were nice but had to investigate it to confirm my story. Then they offered to either give me a refund or give me the sleeper. I choose the sleeper. I regret it. My sofa was so comfy but I wanted a sleeper.So still under a year of having my sofa sleeper and it broke. And now I have an uncomfortable broken sofa sleeper and waiting for them finish figuring out what to do about this. Honestly I probably just won’t give Ashley’s furniture anymore money it’s been 6 months of a headache

It's a very very good couch

To be honest, I initially bought this because it was one of the cheapest options on sale for $300 at the time. I've since grown fonder and fonder of it. It's been now with me for over 4 years, been through three of my moves due to work changes, survived numerous spills and constant use, and still looks about new. It's well made, durable, comfortable, fits with all my furniture, and fits in every one of my apartments. It's perhaps the most perfect couch I could've asked for. (Not sure if all colors are this durable, mine is brown.)

I have had my darcy sofa in "cafe" for almost 10years. I did not purchase online but through a local retailer with Ashley products. No discrepancies. True to color. I liked the amount of firmness and prestine upholstery, stitched to last long. Looks like "new" condition still after almost 10years. I used an upholstery cleaning foam if I ever needed to and have kept up maintenance. My average weight is 150lbs and would say moderate use in it's lifetime. I would also occassionally fall asleep on it(contributing wear and tear factor). Cushions still holding up without impressions or looseness. Able to remove the seat cushions easily and vaccum underneath. Very sturdy. Very easy to clean and move. No rips, tears or scratches..but I only sit or lay on this couch as it's intended use. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to any household with occassional traffic(people) to get a couch life of 5yrs or more out of it. Going to buy a replacement, new color soon.

Fantastic couch

I absolutely love this couch and was totally surprised at what a great quality it was for such a good price! I've been buying couches my whole married life of over 40 years and this is by far my favorite, my three dogs love it too. They do get it dirty sometimes but it's so easy to clean with water. I fully expect this to be my last couch! I just recently bought the ottoman and can't wait to get it. If you're on the fence on whether you should get this I say go for it, if it doesn't work for you you have Thursdays to return it. I didn't send a picture but it looks fantastic in my living room and at Blanchard off my navy blue velvet love seat that I bought a couple years ago.

Price = Great Quality!

They’re super comfortable and so far have held up well. Easy to clean, and nothing has really stained them so far. However, they scratch sooooo easily. My dog can literally just jump up to sit next to me and if she slides even a centimeter trying to get up, it will scratch. It’s super frustrating and it’s all because of the material used to make the covering. If that got changed so it wouldn’t scratch as easily, I would like these a lot more. If I have to pay $1000 for furniture, I would like them to actually stay nice with normal use. It’s not like I have a cat or even my dog actually pawing and scratching at it

GREAT!

Very firm but it is getting softer as the week goes. I had a very soft couch before this so switching to firm…I didn’t know I needed it. I don’t feel as lazy. I didn’t realize how much a soft couch enables my laziness! It’s very pretty and black really compliments my living room rug. The material is so pretty and smooth too. The seat cushions are changeable if you would like a different cushion. I only mention this because I couldn’t find this answer anywhere on the internet when I bought it. I got the delivery service without assembly. The couch came in a wrapper and the movers brought it into my home. And no, they don’t take your old couch so find a way to get rid of it yourself. I used OfferUp. There was only the couch legs that needed to be screwed in which was easy. They provided the screws. All you need is a power drill. Nothing else needed assembly. I did it all by myself and didn’t need anyone to help me drag it into place. But used your own judgement. So far I love it. We will see how I feel after a month in!

Comfortable and Best Furniture Purchase

At first, I was a little skeptical about buying furniture online that I hadn’t tried out yet. After working through a good portion of reviews, I decided to go ahead and try the set that was on sale which contained the couch and loveseat. It was probably the best furniture decision I have ever made.They were delivered on time and wrapped protectively. We ordered the navy blue color and it’s a beautiful lighter shade. The material itself is soft, but not plushy. The cushions are the right amount of soft and hard. They are comfortable to sit on and they have enough substance so that you don’t sink into them. The back pillows I am impressed with. Again, soft enough to lean back on, but you won’t sink into them. My husband and I have decided that they are the best napping couches we have owned. We’ve had compliments from every guest we’ve had in our house about how nice they look and comfortable they are. I highly recommend this couch.
