A Decent Rug

The rug is very decent quality. It is plush and soft; it is thick enough that it feels good on the feet but not oppressively hot. My only gripe is not with the rug itself, just with my wife's choice of a white color. While it feels like I'm walking on clouds, I have to treat it like I'm walking on eggshells!

Malibu Shag 8x10 in Blush

Cute shag area rug! We purchased the 8x10 size in the color Blush for our daughter’s bedroom. Looks nice and feels soft on your feet. Not very thick, but fine for a kid’s room or playroom.

You get what you pay for!

This was my 1st time ordering from RugsDirect.com. For the price I should have known it wasn’t going to be like the thick fluffy rug as shown in the picture! I gave it 1 star only because the color is exactly as shown. I ordered an ivory color long runner for a 14’x7’ master bedroom closet. As other reviewers had mentioned, you can see the base of the rug through the long shag fibers as they are very sparse on this rug and not knotted close enough together. On one of the long sides of the runner the shag fibers cover the rug edge binding, however on the opposite long side, the rug binding shows pretty obviously. I’ve tried roughing up or loosening up the shag fibers by brushing them with my hand towards the side rug. binding but it doesn’t help… the only solution is to place the long ‘bad side’ away from the entry way as you walk into the closet so it’s not so obvious!

Poor return policy

Purchased my first rug from rugs direct and loved it and kept it. Purchased the second one a smaller rug and it was poorly made so I wanted to return it. The representative said they would send me the label which in the end was just their address on a sheet of paper. She informed me also that it would cost me $42 to return the rug that was only 120 when I bought it, but I was going to go ahead and do it anyway. When I did go in to return it, it cost me $79 to return it. I will not be purchasing from rugs direct again as, when you purchase online it is important to be able to return it without it costing a ton of money .

Last year I bought cream color 5x7 rug and a 5 x 7 navy blue rug both Malibu shag collection. LOVE THEM! Get so many compliments on them. The quality & thickness are great! So I thought I would order another one 3 x 5 navy this time. Received it it was wrong color, flat, just TERRIBLE, so I sent it back ordered another one it just came today the same exact way. JUST JUNK! I don’t know what happened but this ones going back to. I’m very disappointed.
