I bought it as a footrest for my wife to use while shaving. I mounted it low and in a corner. It works very well for this purpose.Problem. The screws that came with it are very soft metal and the heads strip very easily. Manufacturer needs to use stronger metal mounting screws or change from a Philips head to a hex or some other type that does not strip so easily

No issues with the item but it doesn't seem as sturdy as I hoped it would be. The bar is pretty thin and the shelf is molded plastic which isn't very attractive in person.

Nice shelf’s to bad the stores stopped carrying them and you have to order them online now makes getting them inconvenient. Use them all the time for showers I do.

Save your money. This is a perfect example of how a company does not even bother to test their product before manufacturing and releasing to the public. It is supposed to double as a grab bar and requires a firm fastening system. They include 4 toggle bolts that require you drilling (4) huge 5/8" holes in your new porcelain tile. I had it all marked out and ready to drill when I realized it is virtually impossible to install 4 toggles simultaneously into a 45 degree corner. Thank God i did not drill the holes. This item is the first thing I bought when starting my remodel and the last thing to go in so unfortunately my 90 day return policy time is up (and i bought 2). I will install them but will have to figure out a better anchor system and they will not be as effective for strength. Another thing as another poster noted...they are not squared up to a 45 degree angle. I had already noticed that so was prepared with thinner EPDM washers on the inside bolts and thicker on the outside. One more thing...the tray is a very, very cheap piece of plastic that is so thin you can see the molded support ridges on the surface. I wonder if the engineers working at this company graduated somewhere near the very bottom of their class or maybe they don't have engineers at all? What engineer would put his stamp on this? Less

I think this line of bathroom hardware is smart and beautiful. They look nice and the are very practical for everyone. It is nice to have a grab bar “hidden” in these products. Easy to install with a drill, very sturdy.

Good quality, solid build. NOTE: I was not able to install in a fiberglass shower enclosure because the right angle corner of the mounting bracket was to 'sharp' to fit in the radiused corner of the fiberglass shower enclosure. The product would be sutiable for more applications if, for example, a 45 degree corner was provided (instead of the right angle corner) to allow for installation in radiused enclosures.

This corner shelf stays up under pressure and is very durable. Looks extremely nice on white shower walls. Can be used to put soap and other shower necessities.

What a great idea. The shelf allows me to have a super large bottle of body wash on top. It is a great place to have a second safety grip.

This was very difficult to install and took two trips to Home Depot, the 2nd trip for a ridiculously large $11, 5/8 drill bit - needed to use the included anchor bolts.5/8 is how big the inside of a garden hose is. Once you drill those huge holes in your shower there is no turning back. But slow and steady wins the race.Once I was done the white plastic tray is so poorly designed - and it's laughably bad - that it wouldn't fit in a million years and if it did it would just pop out. So now I'll need a third trip to buy some kind of decorative nut and bolt system to secure it.Made in China it is.

The Corner Soap Dish with Grab Bar is a wonderful addition to my shower remodel. It serves it’s purpose well for soaps, soap in a bottle or a bar of soap! The corner location makes it handy to use, not only for soaps, but for safety with that grab bar being close & handy to use. Highly recommended.

The plastic tray pops out with the weight of one shampoo bottle due to snap in connectors, which do not snap in, but must be compressed with some force.Worse than that, if one uses the wing nut bolts for all four holes, it is impossible to insert when two are at a right angle to the other two.

I have to issue caution to any purchaser or installer. BEWARE of the toggle bolts you can't install this in a corner with these bolts. If you're forced to use 4 bolts the toggles have to close one side will go in fine the other can't because there's not enough room to slide it far enough back...

Excellent design -- hidden screws anchor this to the wall. The shelf provides a place for soap or shampoo. The only downside is the size. Given the corner unit, I'm having trouble with a shower massage hose that I installed next to the shower arm. I may have to go with a smaller shelf, but I do like the design. Grab bar with a functional shelf. Great combination.

The grab bar part of this item works well when installed correctly. BUT, the plastic tray is too flimsy, and small! When any pressure is put on the shelf (tray), it bends even though it is snalled into place.

The product is excellent. I was able to install the plastic insert by laying the unit on my work bench and used a mallet to hammer it in place. Clamps would work also. HOWEVER, what I couldn't do was use the toggle bolts that came with the shelf to install it as there were no studs to screw into. So I purchased "3/16" Strap-Toggles" and I was able to easily install the bolts. Once installed, this is a great addition to our shower.

Good product, directions stink

The product once installed is solid. I had to buy plastic wall anchors inserts instead of using the supplied toggle bolts. Also, the plastic shelf that snaps on the stainless steel frame didnt easily snap in. There is plastic left over from the molding process that I need to cut off with a utility knife. I also had to enlarge the holes in the frame to be 7/32" in diameter. After this it snapped in easily. See the other reviews where people had to use clamps to squeeze the shelf on to the frame - that is what I avoided by increasing the holes to 7/32" diameter.

Strong handle, nice design, good shelf for smaller items

This corner shelf is surprisingly strong. The instructions called for installation using wood screws into as many studs as possible. I was only able to screws into one stud. The other three screws all had to be toggle bolts, but it is still very solid and quite supportive. while drilling holes into the tile and attaching it to the wall was easy, getting the White shelf on was not. I had to use clamps and wood blocks in order to get the white plastic pegs of the shelf through the steel holes of the handle / support frame. The shelf is somewhat flexible and won't hold heavy shampoo bottles. We are using it for smaller things such as soap dishes and razors so the shelf doesn't deflect. I do like the texture of the Shelf. It is mostly smooth, which makes it easy to clean. The directions don't call for it but I added some caulk around the screw holes in the tile to waterproof them. Less

I love these!

When looking for a way to install grab bars that were stylish I had no idea that these even existed.I had 2 of these installed in a new tiled shower plus the matching soap dish and curved grab bar.I believe each piece was about $30 and they are rock solid and pretty. The only con is that they only come in chrome and because of that, I changed the theme of the whole bath from brushed nickel to chrome.I still have several more baths to convert and hopefully brushed nickel and bronze versions will start appearing.

Good Product, fairly easy to install, looks good.

This fit squarely in the corner of my tub surround, and I was lucky that 3 of the four mounting screws were located over solid wood. The fourth screw needed the supplied expansion fitting which worked very well and was secure. But note that you will need a 5/8" diameter drill for this expansion screw (which I already had).
