This item was a game changer for me. Very solid and i feel secure lowering myself on to toilet. My leg is in a hinged brace and my knee currently has 70 degrees flexion. Just back up to toilet, grab padded handles IN THE MIDDLE and lower yourself. It doesnt slide or tip as some have mentioned. I bought a different type on amazon with the raised seat and returned. This one WORKS.

This is really easy to put together, no tools required. It is very sturdy ( Heavy steel construction) but still easy to use and move. It is not adjustable though so you need to ensure you have the space in your bathroom around the commode to use it.

Nice and sturdy. I drilled four holes in the base and screwed the unit to the floor, even more sturdy. This for my elderly sister, not a commercial installation.

My wife needed an aid to stand during recovery after getting out of the hospital, and this looked like a suitable solution. It arrived in perfect condition, and took just minutes to assemble. Some of the reviewers felt it wasn't sturdy enough, but I tested it out by briefly lifting myself off of the ground with it (I weigh 190 pounds) before putting it to use and was quite impressed with how stable it was. It fits nicely into position in all 3 of our bathrooms, including one where there's very limited space, and was easy to carry between bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. Overall, we've both been very impressed with it. One last benefit is that it will be easy to disassemble and store away in its box when we won't be needing it for a while.

Excellent piece of kit

Just what was needed to turn an ordinary toilet into one suitable for a disabled person.The beauty of this device is that it can be moved about easily and works well without damage to the walls or floor of the facility. It was easy to assemble and looks quite stylish.

Works Great. Arms make it very easy to sit and stand. Just like an arm chair. Easy to move away from toilet for those who don't need it. This also makes hygiene/cleaning easy. Just lift your feet and push it forward. Then, when done, put it back so you can get up. It's not adjustable; so "One Size Fits All".as they say. It does not fold up or collapse; but it's very light so portability depends on how you plan to transport it.

This is much better than the kind that you actually attach to the seat of the toilet. It is very stable and the little side basket is very handy. It looks more hospitalish than the usual kind but I definitely prefer it. It is easier to put it together if you have an extra hand around but you can certainly do it by yourself, I did.

Very Stable Stand

This turned out to be a much more stable toilet stand assist than the cheapie ones that attach to the the seat assembly. My Alzheimer’s suffering father-in-law has greatly benefited from this unit.

The Stand Alone Toilet Safety Rail was boughy for my wife who is undergoing Spine Surgery -- She says it is a Lifesaver and gives her a bit of Privacy not haveing me stand there to pull her off the toilet after shes done
