Although I checked with the online chat person in advance to make sure that this rod would fit with the fan we purchased, in fact because it was not threaded, it did not work and we had to return it and buy a different one. A threaded one was not shown as available online, which is why I checked before ordering this one. I guess that my experience doesn't reflect on the quality of the product, but the availability and quality of the HD website and assistance.
