Good basic light. The finish is rough to the touch. I painted the fixture because it was too brown and I wanted a more bronze look. The fixture was easy to install and the overall quality okay given the price.

Looks good in my rustic décor room, however I wish I had read more thoroughly and noticed it only took a max 60 watt bulb. This is my fault because since it holds only one bulb, 100 watt would have been better.

Bought two for a children's play/tv room. Nicely packaged (so it won't get bent in shipping, etc.). Seems well made - not flimsy. Very easy to install. Just be aware this is a Galvanized Steel finish - not really galvanized steel. Looks more like silver "hammered" paint finish.

It's difficult to find an industrial galvanized look under $50. I saw these and bought 2 since the price was so good. I put them in my laundry room. I started a 'warehouse' look in that room and these fit perfect. I would recommend an LED bulb that doesn't have much glare. We took down two long fluorescent lights and these really add some character. Love these!

simple design, modern style

We were looking for a light fixture that looked modern without seeming like it would look dated in a few years. I think we hit the mark with this one. It is simple enough without being dull, and modern enough without being avant garde or trendy. It was easy to install and looks great with an Edison-type bulb. The only negative I can think of is that due to the design, dust does collect on the shade, so I have to get up there and wipe it off every so often.

Money Saver!!

I have been shopping for a fixture like this, for my farmhouse kitchen and was dismayed at the price for such a simple look. So I decided to buy a utility fixture and paint it black and not spend a lot of money. When I received this fixture, it came in a bronze color and when I put in my retro Edison bulb, not only was it perfect, but I put my paint away to use for another time, because it fit my farmhouse decor so well.
