Bought 10 of these in December but just installing now. Nice design. Quality construction. Heavy-duty springs. Even included Wago 773 style push-in wire connectors are quality. Would have been 5 stars, but 10 I bought in December did not include air-tight gaskets like is mentioned in the current listing. Gaskets are needed.

Great lights without the cans at a great price. Another feature is you can order from soft white to bright white. The junction box is mounted on top and is a tight fit for the wires if you're going to put ( 2 ) 14/2 WG wires to daisy chain them. What I did was drill my holes and pulled enough wire down through the ceiling and wired them up on a 3' high step stool in the kitchen then shoved the fixture back into the hole and the clips hold it in place. I placed 6 of these in my kitchen and have them on a LED dimmer switch .I just had to get up in the attic remove the insulation around where I was drilling the hole ( I used a 6 1/4" inch hole saw , A 6" hole would be a tight fit and you would have to notch out the holes where the wings go to make them expand. I think you could go to a max of a 6 3/8" hole any bigger might affect the holding power of the clips to hold firmly against the ceiling. ( Just my opinion ) The outside diameter of these fixtures is 7 1/2" . I have the old sheetrock and then plaster on top of that for a 3/4" thickness overall and it worked fine. I really didn't staple the wires to the joists in the attic to take out the slack , I did pull the insulation back and covered the top of the fixture because these don't heat up like the old incandescent lights, I figured down the road I might have to paint and pulling them back out would be easier instead of trying to paint around the fixture and worst yet to mask them off while painting.
