We really like our new floor lamp. It gives a lot of light in a very small footprint. We only use 1 light on most days as we just wanted some way to light up the corner of our living room. All three lights on together are REALLY bright.

Wrong information given for light bulbs for lamp

I was looking for a torchier and this one caught my eye. I liked the 3 cone shaped shades. It's a nice quality lamp with a beautiful granite base, so no flimsy base. The shades are glass, not plastic and the poles are substantial and are supported by a metal ring midway. Winding the cord under the base was not easy and the plastic plate came unglued in doing so. I think the manufacturer could provide upgraded packing materials that could protect the parts better. The poles that screw together are wrapped in plastic whereas they could be shielded in Styrofoam like pool noodles to protect from scratches. I did end up with a few. The top pole part that connects to the gold metal base had some thick, hard corrosion stuck in place on the threads, making it impossible to screw on. We used some graphite ( in the form of a pencil lead, to rub on the threads and that helped. The biggest disappointment was that Lumens had the info wrong on the recommended bulbs required. After waiting to hear from customer service for 2 weeks to get the correct info we gave up and used standard bulbs which are working. But a pretty disappointing follow up from Lumens.

We needed additional lighting, but the space was limited. This Torchiere was just what we wanted - 3 independant lights, which allow us to turn on 1, 2 or all 3, and on a compact footprint, at the right height. Very happy.
