great cart!

My husband and I just moved into a new place and we were lacking some storage in a narrow one-wall kitchen. We saw this cart and thought the green color was interesting and would coordinate well with other items we had, plus it happened to be on sale at the time, so we bought it. The cart has a LOT of storage. The four open shelves are each large enough to fit a stock pot in them. An entire set of pots and pans is tucked away in that open shelving. The cabinets are large enough to fit a whole Kitchenaid Mixer with some room to spare (I just wished it would fit the extra bowl I had all in the same cabinet but that's a lot to ask for). I had hoped to use the little rod on the one side for paper towels, but it's attached to the unit (the rod doesn't come out unless you unscrew the whole thing) so it's a towel rack. I love the little side compartment for storing cutting boards, right under where we'll need them on the extendable surface. Overall, a great little cart. As far as the assembly - the paperwork says you'll need two people. I (a 30-something female of average build who occasionally works out) was able to do it alone in a couple hours. I think the second person is there to help lift it because you do start putting it together upside down and she's solid wood (except those back panels) so it's a heavy thing to lift up. That said, the assembly isn't for the weak! The little baby screws you use to put the wheels on and the cabinet doors are a b* to screw in. There's no pilot holes with everything else, just little indents so you know where they go. If you're weak (and/or not as stubborn as me), a power drill or making pilot holes would probably go a long way. The rest of the assembly was fine. It did smell a little chemically like new pre-fab furniture at first, but the smell fades very quickly. Overall, very happy with this purchase! Would love to find out there's coordinating shelving units to go above it.
