Nice quality product

It's a very elegant and very heavy door. 3/8" thick glass. This is the second one I have installed following a renovation of a second bath. Quality product. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully after reading through them before starting. Did this on my own, but an additional person would be helpful. Glass install suction handles are a MUST for handling these heavy panels(85 lbs/each). Very happy with the results.

Great product, poor shippers

Great product and packaged well as the shippers weren’t so careful. Went together great, quality parts. Great door thus far, installation was straight forward ( never installed one before) and feels solid and looks great. Used to be in the building trades so I was somewhat familiar with the process

High quality; great seals; easy to install.

This is the second one we have purchased. We loved the first one so much we bought another when updating another bathroom. Sharp looking, high quality and the gasket/seals do not leak.

This product works great. It was easy to install and I was able to customize it very easy. I reversed the direction of the sliding door an make the fixed panel be on the inside of the shower. Because everything is customizable, I was able to get what I needed for less than half the price that a glass door company quoted me.

The instructions are not clear so read carefully.

The directions were not entirely clear for installation. The glass is high quality and heavy duty (which is what you want), but extremely heavy. I would definitely suggest investing $20 and purchasing glass suction cups to help move the glass safely. After the installation, I am satisfied with with the purchase and happy we went with this product.

Sturdy, fully adjustable door!

Had contractor install this during a tub to shower renovation. Perfect fit, easily adjustable to account for any plumb deviations. Very heavy with the thick glass, and the gaskets keep the water off the bath floor even though it is mounted with shower head facing the moveable door. Just make sure there are two people during the install. This thing IS heavy!!

Beautiful and smooth operation, minor annoyances

The quality and finish of the doors and sliders seems top notch. It's a very attractive door and we are generally happy with it. A few things not perfect. the plastic strip that goes along the sliding section of the door, the seal that is supposed to contact the wall, was bent/deformed. I thought it would straighten out after use (warm steam from shower...) but it has not. Also, since this is a full frameless, you need to ensure your walls are perfectly straight (nothing to do with the door, but makes it harder for contractor to install correctly). Since there isn't a frame to hide behind, any imperfection in the wall will result in a door that doesn't seal/close properly. Lastly, it's hard to clean the overlapping area of glass between the two parts of the door.

Beautiful - but recommend it for shower pans over 30" deep

My brother-in-law, who is very handy, installed this with the help of my husband. The directions were not very good, so it took them 5 hours to install. They wished they would have had a YouTube video like the Dreamline pivot door they installed in the master. The doors are super heavy and glide nicely. It's a beautiful door but the doors take up a lot of space, making the inside very tight. Since I only have a 30" shower pan, it's too small of an area to install the grab bar where I wanted.

Very nice high end doors but careful with install

After searching around a bit I found the Dreamline Enigma Air doors. I read thru many reviews esp regarding installation. I am a pro level installer so I was not worried but I think install of these doors by DIYers could be challenging (more on that in a second). First, the quality of the doors/materials is really good. heavy gauge glass and steel make this a very solid unit. Install instructions are decent and detailed as well. The only item I would mention is the screw anchors are low quality but using better ones is an easy step. It's been mentioned by other reviewers but having plumb shower walls is important for this unit--if your walls are more than say 1/8" out, these will not work so great. Given the weight of the glass (80lbs etc), you need to ensure that the top steel bar is anchored well into both sides of walls (hit a stud or use strong anchors--I was able to hit one stud and used a 120lb toggle anchor on other side). Take the install slow and take your time and you will be fine. Use diamond drill bits for holes in tile/stone (7 holes in total are required but with these bits its easy work). Lastly, on the threshold--I did not need to install the threshold water block as my threshold is angled down so any water coming down the glass will run off into the shower. Given my threshold is angled, i made sure to install the glass guide block on the non-angled portion of my threshold (to be square with glass doors--also important for proper sliding of door). Overall, really nice door setup!

Beautiful door. Well made. This is my second dreamline door I have put into a house. Both are great. Beautiful. High quality. My only complaint is no installation video. It seems like making an installation video these days would be so easy to do and would alleviate so much frustration from the installer and the company itself.

This is a beautiful shower door from start to finish. I didn't realize how thick 10mm is but this door is thick and HEAVY. This is not a DIY installation. I figured that out pretty quick and called in some professionals. Smart move. These doors must weigh 150 lbs a each. Installing them requires special equipment and the appropriate skillset. A handy guy with a toolbox is not going to be able to install these doors. Now that they are in I couldn't be happier. Super thick and super smooth. Exactly the right door for my newly-remodeled, custom shower.

BEWARE: This door is gorgeous, it has a heavy and classy look and feel. I have installed several for clients. and continued to order because of this. HOWEVER, Today I was informed that one of these doors exploded in my clients hand as he was opening the door. After a year of regular use, the door exploded like a bomb resulting in numerous cuts to arms chest and feet. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM KNOWN BY GLASS DOOR MANUFACTURERS. A quick internet search and I found that this happens all over the country just like my client said, OR it can happen when no one is even in the room. The safety solution is to install a clear safety film to the outside of the glass.

beautiful doors

Installation can be done with two people, at least one who can follow detailed specific directions. The doors were heavy but I was able to pick them up with the help of another person without special glass handles. Installation took several hours but that’s because the instructions are very detailed and you have to follow them exactly. They are not difficult to install, it just takes time and patience. Once installed they look very good. You do have to make sure to wipe all the water off of them after every shower so they don’t have water spots or buildup. I bought a squegee and it takes a quick 15 seconds or less to wipe them down before getting out. Take the time to do it so they will last and stay beautiful. My doors were missing the bottom door stop. I contacted the manufacturer a d they promptly mailed me another one. They have great customer support. I fee more confident that these doors are secure than I would with a hinged door. These doors are also nice in a small bathroom where you do not have space to swing a door out.

Product Could Not Be Worse to Install

I have installed sliding shower doors before. This product is the worst combination of heavy parts (80 lb. shower doors, for example) and incredibly fragile connections. Only 7 screws hold this entire contraption together and the bar that holds the shower door is held up with one screw on each side.

The shower doors are really nice. They were delivered undamaged. My contractor installed them they looked beautiful, but they leak. If you aim the shower head at the glass their fine but when someone gets in the shower for some reason the way the water gets directed it comes right over the anti splash guard onto the floor. It is a puddle. Moved the shower head around lowered the stream leakage is down to a minimum but the floor and grout still get wet. Overtime this will be a problem. Called DreamLine they don't return calls and emailing them is a joke instead of calling me back they want me to send pictures which means I have to go in the bathroom while someone is showering get on the floor and take a picture. All I want to know is if they have something that can be slid under the door to stop the water. I can't be the only one with this problem.

Sleek Shower Door!

I'm very happy with this purchase. I first saw the same product at a local hardware store and found a few other places online, but the Overstock price was the best overall value for me. I hired a local contractor to install this (which was well worth it!). He mentioned it has very little margin for error, so you too may want to hire an expert to put this in if you're not 100% handy. He spent about 2-3 hours, and beware the delivery is heavy, heavy. The shower arrived in 3 boxes, and bolted down to a palette which the sweet Fed Ex delivery man helped me dismantle and carried the crate away. If you live alone, it's too heavy for one person to manage! One other thing I love... the shower also comes with a water repellent surface finish and dries clean every time (so far anyway!). I didn't realize how much of the plastic buffer is on the edges of the glass, but understand it's needed. All in all, a very great product and nice modern touch to add luxe flair to my shower!

Enigma Air Glass enclosure with return panel.

Recently completed installation of this shower enclosure. After a full bathroom remodel, it was a joy to assemble this unit. Directions were nearly idiot proof. Quality of materials is excellent. Spare parts were included. Operation of unit is smooth and precise. It is very heavy, and thus proper construction preparation is necessary. I highly recommend reading the instruction manual through a few times prior to installation so that you have a good understanding of how it all works. I used the 36 x 60 base, also by DreamLine. Interestingly enough, DreamLine technical help told me that it would not work. In fact they told me that they do not make a base for their glass enclosure. Being a little brave, I ordered it anyway, having a strong suspicion that it would work just fine. It did!! The two units are made for one another. Not sure that the tech guy really knew what he was talking about. Highly recommend this product. I am a DIYer and found the difficult level as low.

Very nice product. Note to installers - not an easy installation, not for the novice do-it-your-selfer! The panels are heavy, so two person is urged. Also, if your bathroom or shower enclosure is of typical sizes, I would carefully place the sliding door on the inside of the shower enclosure before installing the main support rod. It won't fit to the inside (underneath the rod) easily otherwise. (Protect your enclosure floor!) Also, the directions state to measure the length of the splash rod for cutting at the edge of the slide block. I would add a 1/4" in as it is slid into the block space "fully" when installed. I'd install the splash rod last by the way, that is, after the sliding door is hung. This will keep it from being dislodged accidentally if you step on the threshold before the silicone caulking dries. Lastly, if know that you have wood studs behind the walls, use corrosion resistant screws that can get a good bite into the studs. Seems a little more secure than the screws and wall inserts that are provided.
