Unit heats the room and is easy to use.

This unit replaced a more expensive model with remote control that would not stay lit totally shutting down including the pilot light. I had to have it removed and replaced with this unit. This unit doesn’t have a remote but it is easy to turn on and off. It does have a thermostat so it does turn off when it reaches a certain temperature. It comes back on when the room cools off. If you want a unit that stays on for atmosphere this isn’t the best unit. If you want it to warm the room it works great.

Great log set however one log came in broken. We bought the one year insurance policy from Asurion and have placed a claim. Asurion has sent us several messages and we have sent proof of purchase several times but still have not had any results. Love the log set, but we are frustrated with the problem with the broken log.

Logs can be improved. The igniter is on the opposite side of the controls. When adjusting the control you need to be careful because the control is close to the logs and you will get burnt.

Sadly disappointed

These were beautiful and warm when first installed (professionally by the gas company). After awhile they cut off. Relit pilot light and after 3-4 minut3s burning it would go out again. Gas company came out to check. They recommended I return because there is nothing they could do and reviews show this happens to many customers. Waste of time and money and now I have to lug them to Lowes. Don't waste your money!

It worked great the weekend it was installed. The thermostat feature quit working after that. The flames quit but never reignites.

Don't be fooled by the specialty shops!

I paid $350 w/tax, etc.,for these logs and they look as good, or better, in some cases, than the logs in the "gas fireplace shops". They work well and have a built in thermostat. Though there isn't a remote control option, the $1000 difference in price makes it less of an inconvenience to manually turn on or light the logs. However, once they are on, they are on - and they come off and on automatically, maintaining a consistent temperature in your room.

Great fireplace

We love this fireplace. We installed it in an existing wood fireplace. Our only question / concern is the pilot is huge- not sure if this is correct? We have to turn it off completely after each use. If the company could contact us regarding this, it would be great.

My son had no trouble assembling the fireplace. The temperature control is great! My last set of logs only had on and off settings. Now we stay comfortable.

[Rewarded Review] Budget Friendly Logs

This is a good set of logs for the price point. It met our needs in that they’re ventless and run well off a 100# propane tank. One of the logs arrived with a broken piece, but it is not visible when assembled so I didn’t bother getting a replacement. They do have a pretty strong odor, but I’m hoping that goes away with more burn time when the new burns off. We did have a problem with them cycling on and off too often, but I realized I could relocate the temp probe further away from the fire. The instructions didn’t mention doing this, but it definitely solved that problem! It is coiled up under the logs. It does put out some decent heat quickly in our space. I would recommend this set for the price, especially if you’re looking to add a backup emergency heat source when the power goes out.

[Rewarded Review] Gas controls aren't working properly

Looks good, but will not light. Even the occasional time we do manage to get the pilot lit, then the burners, there is some sort of click, the gas cuts off, and it is out in less than 5 minutes. Will be returning unless customer service can correct.

The Natural Gas and the Propane Gas set does not...

The Natural Gas and the Propane Gas set does not work together. I need to return this item and maybe purchase a Natural Gas set of logs only.
