Excellent product. We have two more closet systems by Closet Evolution which are in excellent condition after 7 years. Only complaint about this purchase is that the rods were different from the old version. They were not adjustable so we had to use a metal saw to shorten them to the correct size. This resulted in an uneven cut and also we had to drill the rods to have them stay in place. Closet Evolution, please bring back to old rods. Otherwise, the extra effort was not to difficult and the closet looks amazing!!!

Very good quality.

Purchased 2 sets, Fairly easy to assemble, quality of materials is good. I added draws to both units. Units securely hang on wall frees up floor space. Made one modification I moved the clothes rod over four inches from the edge of the side panel.

72" Verticals Received Broken

So excited to install this organizer. I emptied my closet, demo'd the existing shelves and clothes rod, patched and painted the walls and unpacked the new organizer. The two main 72" vertical pieces are cracked!!! I contacted the manufacturer via email because it's now after hours and their customer support office is closed. Hopefully I will get a quick response and replacement parts so I can put my house back together. So disappointed!!!

Recieved cracked

We received this unit with the two biggest pieces cracked - we didn't notice until we had completely removed our current closet organizers since it was on the underside of the large pieces. I called Lowes the next day to ask for replacement pieces and they said I would need to return the entire system to the store and wait 24 hours for someone to call me. This was after 45 MINUTES ON THE PHONE!

No as easy as the brand name suggests

This was not so hard to install once you got started. Directions were minimalistic, and once complete, we have had to reinforce all the vertical panels so they don't swing out and have rods drop. Was more extra worth and time than it's worth. Of course, I ordered 2 and will most likely have to pay a ton to ship back the other one that I won't mess with installing.

Nice balance of cost and function

The product was packaged well and arrived in good condition. It was easy to install the track once the studs were located. For the price I thought the quality was good. This is not a high end, solid wood unit but it is also not wire shelving - a nice balance of cost and function. I had to trim one side down by 1/2" to fit the closet wall which was easy because I have a table saw. A circular saw might be a bit of a challenge and could have some chip out. I am a pretty seasoned DIYer so the install was pretty simple but even I was cursing a bit when I had to drill the holds in the metal bar ends/holders. I ended up screwing the piece to a block of wood so I could keep my fingers away in case the drill bit strayed off the small metal piece.

Fully customizable, quality kit

Loved that the configuration of the kit is fully customizable! We put the shelves on the right hand side and decided to leave the center section without a top shelf because our attic access is in the middle of our closet’s ceiling. We had to cut the support rail, a top shelf, and our hanging rods. Measuring at the beginning seemed like guesswork with vague instructions, but it worked out perfectly in the end. Instructions were easy enough once the initial measurements and configuration decisions were made. It would have been nice for the rods to be adjustable, but they were easy to cut with a band saw. We used plenty of extra screws and anchors of our own in the support rail to ensure it could hold enough weight. Love the look.

Just Ok

This was the 10th closet system we’ve installed over the years and the first time using this brand. We only did this system because of stock issues and the dimensions worked better for our master closet. It looks nice now that it is done, so that’s a plus for this system. However, it is pretty cheaply made even though it is the most expensive out of the 3. Our major frustrations were with the lack of stationary shelves, getting replacement parts and questionable sturdiness. We received a knob that was dented and rusty. The first replacement apparently got lost in the mail but we received the second one pretty quickly. One of our drawer fronts didn’t have the holes screwed into it so we had to do that ourselves. The shelves are a pretty big safety issue and with kids in our home we had to get different shelf pins and screw the shelves to the system. That alone would’ve been a deal breaker had we known before we opened everything because it means the top shelf isn't continuous across the top, but we’d rather it look dumb than stuff fall on a kid. Both of the other systems had secure shelves. The drawers are a little wobbly but have decent capacity. Overall it’s just ok.

Really good product, but the design tool (closetevolution.com) has some deficiencies. When I used it, you could not add drawers to the design. I called support and they said to just add the drawers to the order at homedepot when I was ready to complete my order and check out. The design tool added too many 24 shelves for my design, but Home Depot was great about returning the items I did not need. Also, the design tool missed that I would need 2 long vertical panels (I think because I added corner shelving, but I am not sure, we had a pretty extensive design on 4 walls of a walk-in master bedroom closet. But it was easy to order the additional panels, and delivery right to our home was free. Nice! The system itself is really modular, and assembly was really quite easy. The closet looks great, it just took a little adding / returning of parts to get the closet we designed to completion.

Amazing

I absolutely love my closet system. I had my home renovated and getting my closet put in wasn’t in my budget. I looked around at some companies for quotes and to be quite honest, I wasn’t ready to spend 3k on my closet. I looked around and ran across this system that fit my closet. I also had an additional piece added, and it was the best decision I’ve made when coming to our renovation! In total; I spent less than 400 and I had plenty of room to hang my stuff. I had a handyman come in and install it for me. At first I was skeptical, and I even hung up only a few things at a time, but after awhile I realized it was going to hold up just fine.

pretty good closet solution

I purchased this system for a recent spare bedroom renovation. I have a different company's closet system in my master bedroom walk-in closet which I've had for years but I couldn't justify the cost (which was about twice as much). After installing this system I can see why the other was more expensive. It had cam locks to really keep all of the pieces tight and solid. That system was also custom cut for the size I needed, so because this kit could fit a size range that wouldn't be possible. We did add some extra screws in a few places just to make it more secure, but otherwise it's a decent closet kit. Some of the boards were chipped when I unboxed it, but with this kind of particle board it's really hard for it to be perfect. Plus the box/pieces are so heavy there was no way I wanted to tackle a return.

Easier with 2 people

So I'm 51 year old female. I did a gentle demo of old closet and hung the easy track. Hard part was waiting on hubby to wake up from a nap so I can screw in bottom shelf and another top shelf. Once that was done I could hang it. I needed help lifting it to get it hung. Other than that it was easier than I thought. Keep in mind I still have to organize everything. I hung clothing bars but I didn't need to. Mainly closet is for storage. I love that's it's adjustable. If we sell our house it's easy to add another bar for dresses and take out shelves. It does chip easy so be gentle. The demo and repair for texture and walls, plus painting took longer than hanging and figuring out placement.

It's not 7 feet!

NOTE: The actual size of the vertical panels are 72 inches (6 feet), not 7 feet (i.e. read the fine print)! The instructions direct you to hang them 7 feet high, but there is still 1 foot of vertical storage space UNDERNEATH the unit. The EZ track system really was easy, even for a retired fighter pilot. I found the YouTube videos for "installing Easy Track closet organizers" to be very helpful as well. The material is paper-covered particle board and not solid wood. But this means the material is dimensionally stable and won't expand or contract with variations in household humidity. I plan on buying another unit for my side of the closet.

Installation completed

The video showing the installation not surprisingly looked easier than for me. However, with some planning, especially once i knew the configuration, the project moved ahead without incident. I recently moved and did not have a bench vise which would have helped hold the holding bar that required a hacksaw. Now that I’ve completed the project and comfortable with the process, I’ll order a second closet kit and install in my wife’s closet. I tried my closet first to be the guinea pig in case the project was a disaster; it wasn’t. I liked the product, there were ample hardware and a few extra. Other than one small chip in a side panel, I was able to Work around the chip. I like it enough to purchase a second one.

Hanging in There

From the pictures, you’ll notice that I used the improved utility of the closet for home office shelving and storage. Even though the hanging space is not needed, I installed everything for future use since adjustments are straight forward. The quality of materials was excellent for engineered wood products (shelving, etc.). I have not installed this type of shelving or storage before. I went slow and reviewed the directions often before starting and between steps. Having accurate pictures was quite helpful. I am a lot more comfortable with this type of construction and the next closet will go up quickly. There were a couple of hints that were very helpful but more should have been provided. On the other hand, closets come in different sizes so hard to provide special guidance without causing confusion.

Really like this product overall. We received the first one damaged. I think a lot of reviews say this. We ordered several components to our closet and at first it was hard to understand how to fit everything together. The instructions are pretty good, but could offer more hints if you want to customize your install, like I was trying to do. This particular piece has only one wall it butts up against so when you install the whole unit seems like it needed more bracing. For example the very end pieces simply hang on the back bracing so it seems like they can sway a little back and forth if they are not up against an end wall. But so far it works great without problems. I did not hang a ton of clothes on the rods. It says it has a maximum of 35 pounds per rod. I could see if someone pushed the limits of the amount of clothes on a rod, it may lead to disaster. with that said, the whole unit(s) seem very strong and it looks great-- so much better than the wire shelf our home came with.

I reviewed this product right after it was installed 32 days ago. I loved it and gave it 5 starts. I thought it was the best product I had ever bought in my life. A few minutes ago, the entire right side completely collapsed. The top particle board collapsed down- causing a cascade of the top pole to come partially out of the particle board and the bottom bar ripped out the particle board on both sides. I had an average weight of clothes on the top and bottom bar. Actually, the bottom pole was mostly light weight T-shirts. The main frame bar that holds the unit up is not damaged, nor did it separate from the wall. I just checked my original order receipt and have 90 days to return this item, so I still have time to get this resolved. I absolutely loved this unit before it collapsed and am hoping I can get the all the broken pieces replaced and try again. Very disappointed and hoping this was just a defective unit and that it won't happen again if I replace it.

Good but more stabilization needed

I was uneasy about the instability of the product. The vertical panels hang on the track with no horizontal stabilization for the outside panels other than the single shelf at the top. The rods offer absolutely no horizontal stability as they are telescoping, adjustable rods. If these were solid rods instead or had a method to lock in the length, I would have no concerns. As it was, I purchased two additional 35" shelves (screwed in above the lower rod) to stabilize the unit. Also, to gain the attractive, even top shelf requires drilling additional holes and purchasing additional offset shelf hooks. The shelf pegs supplied will leave one of the three shelves resting slightly lower.
