Metalux strip lights are well made and provide a solution for residential lighting at a moderate cost. I am an electrician. I use them mainly in garages, attics and unfinished basements. They are clean and functional. My only complaint is that the end knockouts, when I use them, are not easily removed which can distort the end cap if you are not careful.

I am converting all my lights to LED and needed something to replace the florescent tubes in my kitchen. I had 4 sets of 2-20watt bulbs and replaced them with just two of these LEDS. LEDS are much brighter so this gives me the same amount of light. They are covered by those florescent light covers which diffuse the light and they look great. Easy to install. Hardest part was taking off the old ones.

My above sink florecenlight burned out. The replacement was 12 dollars and dint liked the bussing sound. This LED light 100 % more brighter for just $14.99. Very easy to install too.

Worked perfectly to replace a 40 year old fluorescent light. The knockouts were perfect for the project. The lumens are just right and the color temp is great for task lighting in the kitchen.

unit was what I was looking for. Easy installation. Good bright light for closet where it was installed. I consider it an upgrade to any old fluorescent fixture.

Great replacement for similar sized Flourescent

I bought two as replacements for same-sized fluorescents in closets. They were mounted on the wall above the door with toggle bolts. Toggle bolts and the electrical box being on the wall made it a lot of work to move to a modern LED disc light on the ceiling. So these fixtures were a great solution to reuse the existing holes. One issue was that these fixtures are narrower that the 1 gang rectangular electrical box so I had to put cover plates on the electrical boxes to hide the box.

The h hardest part about installing this item, was understanding how to get it separated. I relied on YouTube to give me good directions. I am pleased with the result. Once I was able to get it installed, please understand I am not an electrician or a carpenter, but was able to get it to work and it is very pleasing.

Bought to replace old fluourescent fixture in pantry. Wiring was simple and light is nice and bright. very happy.

Works For Me

This fixture replaces a 15-year-old Metalux 2-foot-long dual lamp fluorescent fixture mounted behind a glass diffuser above my kitchen sink. Unbeknownst to me, the old fixture was recalled 8 years ago as a fire hazard (!). Received in 2 days, installation was a breeze, direct replacement for the old fixture...two mounting screws and three wires. Product quality seems reasonable, about 1/2 the weight of the old fixture. Light quality seems better than fluorescent. Would buy again if needed.

Excellent product / Perfect for small closet

We purchased this to replace our old fluorescent fixture in a small coat closet. It's lightweight, easy to install, with a nice, clean look. I'd recommend this without blinking an eye.

Fairly easy to install since I previously installed 8 foot Metalux in my garage. Hollow wall anchors would have been nice if they were included. The light is bright and quite in my laundry closet.

Bought this fixture to replace a fluorescent in a pantry. Unlike the old fixture it comes on instantly and provides plenty of light. Easy to install. Very happy with it.

Easy to install , works very well. Easy replacement for an old florescent closet light. Came with everything you need to connect a replacement light. I think its a bit brighter than the old one was. Has a 5 year warranty too. Much lighter fixture than the old one was too.

Good lighting for the garage

Easy to install. Piped both into door opener unit to light up opposite side of each vehicle in the garage upon entry. Lights up well but not overwhelming like the 4 foot garage light in the center does ( too bright)
