This is a beautiful and sturdy bench. Delivery was exceedingly prompt; ahead of schedule and left in a safe dry place.

Beware

First, the bench arrived in pieces, in a box that was wet and torn. Assembling it requires two strong people as the pieces are extremely heavy (and I don’t recall seeing “assembly required” in the description). But the worst part of this bench is the cheap and defective manufacturing. It has plastic slub at every intersection. And it was missing two critical holes where the screws are to be inserted. So it does not assemble as shown in the instructions. A very high price tag for a disappointing experience.

Best benches ever!

I love these benches. They are the perfect fit in my garden and can weather MN heat and cold.

The look and quality is fabulous. Assembling it was very very difficult.

4 of 6 pieces have issues

We were so excited for our Polywood order and chose to pay more for it than other dupe brands because we hoped for better quality…unfortunately we’ve been let down. The pieces are gorgeous, but 4 of 6 have manufacturing issues. Holes don’t line up on the large bench, all Chippendale products have unfinished joints that make the product look cheap, and the arm to one of our Adirondack chairs isn’t bolted down. Given that most of our furniture has issues, it’s clear this isn’t a one-off thing. This is a pervasive quality control issue. It’s disappointing.

Great bench

Great style, form, and function. Well built. The screw alignment connecting the back support to the seat in the back took a little wiggling but was manageable.

Disappointed in construction of this one

I have purchased other Polywood furniture in the past, but was extrememly disappointed in this bench. It was missing three of the screw holes and the bottom of the bench has vertical "boards" and you can see that they were not constructed in the correct order. Sloppy work this time, especially for an item that costs over $1000!

Purchased this lovely set for a patio in Florida. The only furniture that will survive the coastal climate. Adequate instructions for assembly, which went without any problems.

Have several chippendale pieces, including the big 72" bench, but...

...these are great! been thinking of donating to a state school forvthe visually impaired, they're so sturdy and won't be knocked over by mistake. one problem...and I'm heart broken...a few pieces have notches chewed out of them by squirrels. Just fair warning.
