I was very pleased with the quality of the item that we ordered. The scroll work looks very nice and the alder wood is smooth and ready to stain. It will be a nice addition on the head board that I'm making for our bed.

Change a piece of furniture

I sanded lighted, stained and put this on a plain small table on the front (it sits in a hallway) and everyone that saw it before and after couldnt believe the change of it. A good investment. Stained okay.

Disappointed

I was disappointed when I tried to adhere it to my door. It did not come close to flush. Afer a closer look, I saw that it was thinner on the left side of the applique. Its painted already so I guess I will have to try and make it level. Lesson learned.

Have had these same appliqués in den, kitchen and guest bath so I’m so pleased to add additional appliqués to tie the different rooms together.

I had purchased some $7 wood appliques at Lowes, to go over the windows in my new art studio. I had also purchased this Ekena appplique in the 24" size to go over the door. Once I saw the difference in quality between the $7 appliques and these ones, I understood that you get what you pay for. The cheap ones looked like a ragged mess when they were painted. Like they needed serious sanding, which is really not an easy thing to do. I ordered these in the 12" size for my windows. These Ekena appliques required NO sanding at all and painted beautifully.I dont know if the image shows the roughness of the cheap applique on the bottom, but heres a comparison of the two.

Broken product

Defective product. The centerpiece is missing. Appears to be shaved off. I wouldn?t mind if the product broke in the process of shipping, but the centerpiece is completely missing. I don?t have the option of gluing together.
