No instructions

It looks great, (FINALLY), but there were no instructions with details of measurements. We had to buy different anchors for the Sheetrock walls. It was a difficult install. I was disappointed in Allen and Roth brand that the directions were of no help! Watch some videos to get ideas and instructions on best install. Also, I have hung many things. Not my first attempt at DIY install nor assembly of purchased items.

Low star raters are just lazy!!

I was on the fence with this mirror due to poor reviews I’d read. I figured I’d give this mirror a shot - I can always return! There is absolutely nothing wrong with this mirror or instructions!!! Look people - even if a template was included, you still would have to do some measuring to figure out where you want to hang it on your wall, if you want it centered. Clearly the folks who complained about this product only wanted to know where to put holes in the wall. But if you want it to be centered with your sink (of course you do!), find where that is, find the center of the mirror, and go out from that point. I put the supports on the mirror and then measured how far apart the holes were once attached to thr mirror. Installed it myself, level and centered, and done right the first time AND I’M A WOMAN. So save $40 and buy this mirror instead of more expensive ones out there.

Difficult to install

it looks great but it takes 2 people to install. The instructions are printed on the back of the box and it didnt come with a template. The mirror slipped out of the attachment and cracked during the installation. Its very disappointing and upsetting. I definitely do not recommend this mirror. Installation doesn't look very sturdy to hold the mirror.

Impossible to install

Somehow, I received a mirror with brackets that do not pivot. So when you slide them over the mirror, the flat part of the bracket that's supposed to attach to the wall just sticks straight out. Of course, I couldn't even get that far because one of the screws was drilled so tightly in that there was no way to loosen it and make room in the slot to slide it over the mirror. I am confounded at how poorly this piece was made.

Beautiful, but very difficult install

The install is not easy for this mirror, and if you need to hang TWO over a double sink like I did, say a prayer and do some meditation before you attempt it. Two people are absolutely needed. Just be ready to say every curse word during this tedious install.

Best in its class

Bought this mirror for a small bathroom and installed if over the sink. It brought understated elegance to the room immediately. LOVE IT

Found after contractor didn't allow for mirror

Contractor nor I thought about the spacing between outlets and the height of outlets in a new bathroom remodel for handicap access. The way the outlets were set would have meant the mirror would be beyond my husbands view with him sitting in his wheelchair. This mirror, being oval shaped allowed the bottom part to come down between the two outlets and works perfectly for my husband's grooming of the morning. Very pleased.

Close, but no cigar!

The mirror is fine. i would give this product a 5 star rating with better instructions for installation. It was packaged very securely and the chrome looks perfect. The instructions are a different story. Not at all installer friendly. First, they are printed on the back of the box. A simple sheet of paper instructions that you can easily refer to on the job site is more preferable. Secondly, no template for mounting hardware spacing. This is solvable with paper instructions. they should add 5 cents to the price and provide a template. The lack of a template is the real reason 2 people are required to mount the mirror. You have to hold the assembled mirror in place on the wall and trace around mounting scones to get spacing correct. Really! My opinion is that the cost reduction has gone too far at Gatco. I bought a similar from a competitor on another job and it had a nice accurate template that made it a one person per mirror job.

Pleased with the look of my updating bathrooms

I found a clerk at the Port St. Lucie store that was very helpful with my ideas of what I wanted to do with my bathrooms remodel. It went from the mirrors, to medicine cabinets now and then next year with new vanities and sink toppers. My plan is in order!!! This is a 3 bathroom project.

Great mirror for the price

We did a total remodel of our 60 year old bathroom and spent a long time looking for a bathroom mirror. We found many that we liked but they were priced out of our budget! We also had space limitations and needed a specific size. This mirror was both beautiful and reasonably priced. It was easy to install and so far we have had no complaints about it. We did add two plastic bumper pads to the bottum of the mirror, so that when it is tilted, it does not hit the wall.
