Stunning lamp

[Rewarded Review] Bulbs do get warm.

The lamp is bright with 1 bulb. Super bright with 2 bulbs. Surprised that bulbs do get hot. Think with adjustment/location of lamp, heat won't be issue. I have lamp next to recliner. Bonus for BEST BUY. Purchased online and was delivered to store 4 days earlier than expected.

Joann.com does not stand behind their “easy” return policy.

The OTT light was defective. I contacted Joann.com to arrange a replacement, and was told that I would have to contact OTT light directly, because the light is corded electronic and once opened is not returnable. I contacted OTT and they explained that Joann, whom I ordered from and paid, is responsible for replacing or refunding.

Not Sure How to Rate

How do I rate this? I have used Ottlite lamps for more than 40 years — always been pleased with them. When a 38 watt lamp was on sale recently, I eagerly purchased it on November 29, 2023. It arrived on December 10, 2023 and I set it up, only to discover it had an obnoxious high pitched hum. I took the bulbs out, put them back in. Didn't help. I wrote to Customer Service. Received an email with instructions for replacing on December 13, unfortunately it went to Spam. When I discovered the email days later, I called and left a phone message. On December 17, I followed all directions, took pictures and emailed everything requested to M.M. I have heard NOTHING. On December 21, 2023, I received a notice that my December 17th email had not been read. I left another phone message and forwarded the email. I understand that from 2:30 P.M. ET on December 22, 2023 until Wednesday, December 27, 2023, they would be on Christmas holiday, but I originally purchased this on November 29 and have already paid the credit card bill. The non response is a huge concern.

Very bright, on/off switch a little awkward

Love everything about this lamp except for the on/off switch. The button is OK but it's a little awkward to click. To get to the max level of brightness I like, I have to click three times. I like the on/off switch on my older Ott light better. But love the brightness for my intricate card making.

Needed a task light and this light does the job.

Switch not so great

Really like the lamp but not so happy with its switch. The switch is awkward to use and a bit hard to push it on and cycle through the light functions. But despite this it’s a nice floor lamp.

Not LED bulbs

I bought this lamp because it said it had LED. Bulbs. They are actually fluorescent.

Great lamps for card crafting & sewing

I own two of these lamps now, both for card crafting. One is at my craft table and one is now at my cutting table. While it took 3 shipments to get a working version this time, I still love the lamps. The neck bends in any direction and the shade can be turned to the right or left, allowing the light to be shown exactly where I need it. The three light levels, near you, away from you, or with both on, allow different light levels. The function button that must be pressed to switch light levels, is very large, and should be pressed level, for best results.

Best lamp ever!

I have always bought Ott table lamps. When my floor lamp that goes over my sewing machines broke, I wanted an Ott lamp. This one has a wonderful range and mobility to go over my cutting table and then swing to the machines. The 36 watt bulbs are great with 3 settings - low, medium, and high. The woman in line behind me at Joann’s called out to me when I was leaving - “You are going to love that lamp!” She was right!
