Good selection of premium candles at good price. Item was neatly wrapped to prevent breakage. Would be good if there was an option to collect from the preferred chemist warehouse, instead of delivery by post. Will purchase again for sure!

Epic candle

I purchased this for a friend that had moved into a beautiful new house recently. I wasn't sure if they'd appreciate it but now it's in pride of place in the lobby of their new home and looks amazing. The cold throw is superb so you can smell it without lighting it and it just creates a welcoming atmosphere in the room. So nice.

Gorgeous but could be stronger

I'm pleased with my purchase as the brand itself is iconic and the candle is well-designed and incredibly chic, but I think the scent could be a little stronger. It smells great but is more suited to a smaller room. However, my friend, who I gifted the candle to, was very happy with it.

Love love love

I absolutely love this candle, it is one of my favourite ones and always a repeat purchase, especially around Christmas time.It burns evenly and has a good throw, filling the room with a subtle fragrance without being overpowering.I usually buy the mini version and it lasts me for a few months.

Gorgeous

I don't think you can go wrong with Byredo candles.We purchased this one for the library room in our new home as it sounded appropriate. It really just adds the perfect atmosphere to the room and we love to light it when we want an escape to read a book quietly.

My Gift Bombed Out!

I was so excited to send this Bibliotheque candle to my bougie daughter who LOVES scents and special things, thinking this was the perfect gift! WRONG! I was crushed to hear her report. She told me she burned the candle for several hours but could only smell it after getting close to it, and while it had a pleasant smell, it was very faint, not strong, very subtle. (Maybe it was an old candle) She appreciated my efforts, but....this was pricey for me (fixed income) and I will not make THAT mistake again!

The perfect gift

I love this scent! The first time I got it, I laughed and thought it doesn’t smell like a library at all but it it gorgeous. The scents also linger even when the candle is not lit.I love the all black signature Byredo design too.I’m bookish. I love reading and spending time at bookshops and libraries. I include libraries when I travel. Most of my friends are too.This is my favourite gift for birthdays, anniversaries and house parties. It’s also a great conversation starter when it’s opened and lighted by the host/hostess when they receive it at the parties.It’s soooooo fancy everyone loves it!

Smells wonderful

It smells wonderful and very unique, my flatmates adore it. It is expensive but in line with other luxury candle brands when you account for size. It burns evenly (something I sadly cannot say for diptyque!) and has great pay off. The packaging is high quality and what you would expect at this price point.

super nice

I absolutely love this candle. It has a very discreet design so its not too ostentatious, it smells wonderful, doesn't burn too quickly and for a Byredo product I would say that the price point is actually pretty good compared to other candles in the market out there. I would recommend this as a gift as anyone would love it or just as a nice thing to have in the house

besutiful candle

I loved this candle. I found it very elegant scent wise and in its appearance. In terms of the price, I believe i t to be worth it as it is a rather large candle and is very rich in scent and projectivity. It has a unique aroma which fills rooms and makes its mark. I would defiantly reccomend.

Beautiful

This candle is amazing - the scent is deep and rich, and you can smell it even without lighting it! It feels super luxurious and makes an awesome gift! Burn time seems to be good so far. Honestly, it's like having a fancy library in your own living room - totally worth it.

Beautiful scent, BUT you may need a bigger size

This is a very elegant scent, unusual and not too sweet, and the all black look definitely is a plus, but the mini one needs a mini room to really shine. I first lit it in my living room and had to bring it closer to me to get a whiff of the scent. In my bedroom, it was only really noticeable when you walked in and out of the room. In my bathroom for a bath, it was absolutely lovely. I would expect the larger size to do a much better job elsewhere, but not sure it justifies the price. So far, my Diptyque room spray and Aesop incense are far superior products in terms of performance and value for money.

Strong scent

I live in a small condo and so I felt like even when the candle wasn't lit it left a nice smell. It was almost too strong when it was lit though but that could just be personal preference. It's a decent size candle and looks quite nice which is expected for the price.

Biblioteque

I absolutely love this candle. It does smell like books but not in a dusty way but a gentle soft way with slightly sweet scents. It smells so expensive and creates a beautiful atmosphere. Although it’s very expensive it’s well worth it. Beautiful product that I will buy again

My least favourite of the range

I've brought every candle from Byredo, and every time I go to the counter I'm told Bibliotheque is the bestselling by the customer service staff member - for some reason, it doesn't do it for me as I find it too cloying and sweet, but everyone else loves it. I prefer Burning Rose, Tree House, Chai, Woods, Summer Rain, etc. 4 stars from me because it still gives a great throw and the Byredo candles are the best you can buy in my opinion.

Nice candle scent

Byredo's Bibliotheque candle—let's be real, it won't turn my space into a library, but oh, that scent! It doesn't just warm the house; it wraps it in a cozy, Christmas-like aura. Having the perfume, I expected the vibe, and it delivered. This one's my Christmas candle, hands down.

Stunning scent.

I have had a lot of high-end candles from various brands and this has to be up there within the top three. It smells absolutely beautiful, even when not lit. Walking past or entering a room, you can smell it! Even after blowing it out the smell lingers and it’s such a stunning scent.

The greatest candle scent of all time

I will re-purchase this candle for as long as Byredo make it. For me, it's the greatest candle scent of all time. It really does smell like a cozy library, but it's no overpoweringly woody or musty. It's great for both winter and summer, burns down evenly, and lasts a long time.

Stunning

This is my second candle from Byredo. I wasn’t sure what the expect from this scent, but it’s very different to what I had imagined a candle named after a library would smell like. The sharp fruity notes of peach and plumb blend very well with the violet, alongside the not-sweet vanilla and musty patchouli. Smells amazing and fills the room when lit. I do even get whiffs of it when it’s not lit, which is great for a smaller candle. Love the all black design. Burns extremely evenly - I don’t think any other candle brand burns as well as these do. Very impressed!
