Great price, study and attractive design. Ordered light green but it's more of a blue/gray/green...was a little disappointed with the color. Also was worried about the headboard disappearing after we got our mattress on there. We have a 11.5 inch Tempur Pedic but it doesnt take up too much of the headboard. Just difficult to find the right colors in bed linens to go with the headboard.
Not worth it.
It's really pretty but it isn't sturdy at all. The frame wobbles with the slightest movement. I have tightened the hardware and even took it apart and put it back together. A frame this expensive shouldn't have this problem. I definitely regret my purchase.
Quality materials and excellent bedframe supports
It took a while to assemble alone, but it helped that the materials were all neatly packaged and delivered. I would recommend spending a few minutes reading the instruction booklet after arranging and confirming the parts. The "winged" sides of the headboard were a little difficult to individually attach to the bedframe left/right sides, so a 2nd person is definitely a plus. I made only 1 mistake which I easily reversed to correctly use the proper sized screws (the 2 interior support brackets). I liked the color of the grey fabric, and felt the amount of cushioning on the side board and headboard were more than adequate. The bed slats are best inserted starting from the headboard and then down to the foot of the bed. I used our existing twin box springs with our new King mattress, although box springs aren't necessary. The height of the headboard that's visible after the box spring and mattress were placed into the frame was significantly changed. I liked it all the same, and felt there was plenty of room to lean against. My only suggestion for improvement is to note in the description what the foot peg wood finish is. I was trying to match nightstands to the bedframe, but needed to wait to see it in person. It's something like light pine or light oak. But honestly, I can't be sure if it'll match a light pine/oak nightstand that I have in mind. I'm impressed with the 2 inner lengthwise brackets, that provide additional foot support.
Worth the Buy
Upon receiving the package, it was quite heavy for one person but manageable. I ordered the full size Blue Linen, and the package was as wide as the headboard. The setup process was 8 steps, walking you through the easiest process, one downside is they give you a small allen wrench to assemble the whole bed, and if you use that it starts to hurt your fingers from tightening all the screws, but it was manageable as well. It took me, by myself, about an hour to an hour and a half to set up. Best setup advice I would give is to make sure that all the side bars are set correctly and the holes line up and face the ways they ask you to. Also, when placing the slats they give, just be sure that the outer curve is to face upwards, and by that time you feel quite relieved you no longer need to use that little wrench and only have to pop things in. Otherwise the setup process was very easy and explanatory, the complete result is quite sturdy, and the side panels look good as well being as they’re padded and add to the look. My only *slight* concern is the side panels being connected by a bar and a supporting bracket in the middle of them, which to me just seems a little less sturdy than it should be, but the bed doesnt seem faulty in any way. For the price, its cheaper than getting a headboard and frame, plus a box spring, and it removes the bulk and price of a boxspring. The headboard is cheaply tufted, but for the price I wouldnt expect more, it still looks appealing. My bed looks nice and I sleep comortably due to the slats, and they allow my mattress to air out and I sleep cooler at night allowing the cooling feature of my bed to enhance. Overall I am thoroughly impressed with the design of the Novograts Her Majesty Bed, and the durability, the full size says it supports up to 450lbs of weight. I would definitely recommend if youre looking for a cheap, stylish addition to your room.
Awesome bed
I have been looking into getting a new bed for my daughter. There are so many choices out there. She had a metal frame before and it would squeak and shake every time she moved. I decided to try this Novogratz Her Majesty Bed in twin size and grey linen color. It looks so awesome in her room. The wingback headboard is covered in elegant tufted linen, which extends all the way around the equally stunning bed base, which makes the bed look totally “royally” awesome. It was super easy to set up. The bentwood slat system allows you to have a good back support and good night sleep. You do not have to have a box spring - the mattress is enough to have a comfortable rest. The four sturdy wooden legs are slanted for maximum support, with an extra two metal legs and center rail providing additional structure and comfort. The bed does not move at all when you sit or lie down, or turn around in it. It also does not make any squeaking or other sounds like the metal bed used to. I think this bed looks and feels great and my daughter loves it. I am glad I got it for her, I would definitely recommend it.
gorgeous fabric and color
I received the Novogratz Her Majesty wingback headboard and twin bedframe. This headboard and rails have the gorgeous grey upholstered fabric on it that goes from the headboard to the side rails. The headboard board is padded with upholstered buttons as well. I love the buttons and adds such elegance to this. This piece is absolutely gorgeous in my little girls room. I love how the upholstery goes all the way around and not just on the headboard. I will note this product is pretty heavy in the box even for a twin. I think that also goes toward the quality of the bed slats. I LOVE that there is no need for box spring with this bed. Just add mattress and that is it. I really will note that the fabric on this is such a great color. It is an awesome neutral grey that would basically go with anything. This thing took me about 2 hours to put together which is not terrible for this type. It is just awkward because of the heaviness for one person and that was the worst part of it. The fabric seems very thick and easy to clean. I think this nice fabric will last for years to come, It is not cheaply made at all. The wooden slats in the bed also make it extra sturdy. I hate when beds creak or slide all the time. Not the case with the slats, I think it makes it a very sturdy idea and I don’t have to worry about it creaking or sliding around even when my kids jump on the bed.
