I had lusted after this chair for years and finally got it and it is worth every single penny. And surprisingly comfortable.

Beautiful decorative chairs but not for use

Beautiful chairs but not strong for use. These are more side chairs rather than a regular chair. Also the back should be affixed to the seat by small wood that was not of the correct size and did not go up to the end. The area around the whole where this wood should go is very thin and was damaged. Chairs were so heavy that I was too lazy to return. I recommend these chairs only if you use it as a decoration.

Beautiful pieces of furniture that also are carved pieces of art.

I cant even!! The workmanship is AMAZING! They are stunning! So totally better than they look in the photograph.

Once you spent 10 minutes unpacking it, theres only two wooden parts you put into place and put it all together. We got 4 for dining room chairs

i just got them today.They are so beautiful.well worth the money.They are way better than the pictures.They look so good in front of my fireplace.Carving is perfect.Design toscano has thebest quality.

It was'nt cheap. but you get what you pay for and Id say the quality is Very good. Rich dark finish and very authentic looking. I wanted an accent chair for a corner of a Tuscaned themed dining room and this fit the bill perfectly.Came promptly and so well wrapped it took me 20 minutes to unpack!! but the packing stuff itself is useful so hold onto it, its a bonus!

Unique Piece

I gave this product 3 stars not because of its look, but because of some of the workmanship. The back of the chair seems to have been put together by 2 separate pieces. Maybe the pieces shifted in travel (probably not though since the company packs things VERY well.) The seam of these 2 pieces shifted to where you can easily see it. My husband was able to fix it, but I was disappointed in that respect. Otherwise, a nice looking chair.

looks authentic

this chair is a prized fine. It is not the most comfortable chair and the back slides out if you are not propped up against a wall. But it definitely fits the description of what it is. It is a chair for a palace or great hall. People have admired. Good craftsmanship. Great for an entrance way or boot room.

perfect for the small space between my front and garage doors

The back is not as stable as I would like, but is sturdy for sitting on. It gives me a spot in the entry way to take off muddy shoes without taking up much room. I may try gluing the back -- it slips into a slot that allows it some give.

Outstanding and beautiful

I bought 2 of those chairs and I am so happy I did. The mahogany wood is simply stunning and the color is so rich . The chairs are excellent quality and exceptional hand carving by real artists who produce these master pieces. Visitor stop at my doorway to look and admire them. I am very pleased with the service I received from design toscano and how the chairs arrived very well packaged.
