Much darker/warmer in person
This rug is much darker in person than it appears in the listing photos. It's much more yellow/deeper beige. I'll be returning it.
This rug is lovely. it's soft right off the bat which not all wool rugs are. No shedding so far but I expect that to change as we use it more regularly. it's just part of natural fibers.

That reviewer must have gotten a different rug than the one I received, as it’s been shedding excessively and endlessly for five months. I vacuum it regularly—hasn’t helped—it just fills up my vacuum immediately. Sit on the rug in dark pants for even a second and you’re ruined — it’ll look like I rolled in small white hairs. It’s a nuisance and I wish I’d returned it when I had the chance. I thought the shedding would end. It’s miserable!
