Medical issues were heightened by the 4" seat lift...and dangling legs & feet. Safety & Correct height. o Feeling of security on this comfortable seat. YES! Secure seating. o Son quickly installed...and the seat was ready to go. (Other companies' models took hrs at times to install; didn't come from correct screws or whatever.) Easy to install. o Cleaning: Eazzzeee peaseeee---No issues to discuss or even mention Cleaning a whiz. PAST 18 months: Too many months on a molded 4" 'high-rise' toilet seat lift. Scary. And it would shift. Even more scary. Too many options!!!!!! Definitely head-swimming. Too many tried this one or that. Time & money involved. Frustrating...a lot As an octogenarian my safety was primary. No matter how I searched for exactly. what I needed (these things I DID know). I passed the searching on to my caregiver. She narrowed options to certain specifics. NICE. Son reviewed these with me as he & I both knew the fallacies of that current one AND the trial ones. Thanks, BEMIS.

Product is as described in their advertisement. I do wish the base touched the rim edge completely. I bought this to help me ease transfers. Down side for me, is that since it does not fit flush to the rim (there’s a gap because they use feet instead to raise it) I am not able to use my handrails with this seat.

I had a problem initially--there are two guides formed on the bottom of the lift that are supposed to fit into the toilet bowl. My American Standard toilet bowl (17" handicap type) is slightly more narrow, and these two guides did not go down into the bowl; so, I got my hacksaw and sawed one off and it works fine now. It is just what I wanted, and works fine. Thanks for making a 2" lift type, not everyone wants a 4" like almost every mfgr. makes.

My dad needed a little bit of a head start when getting off the can, and this thing gave it to him. The construction is sturdy, and it works. One problem: you drop the lid, and it goes BANG. In 2018, there is no good reason for making a toilet seat that doesn't close slowly.

Good health aid and makes smaller round toilets tolerable for bigger guys who don't want to sit way down low on a tiny seat. The fascines need to be more tight though. I don't feel the toilet hinges are tight enough, so I will use a better tool and get a better wing nut for it that fits a little better.

The height added to an apartment toilet is wonderful. However, the toilet seat provides a danger. The size for the length is right. A round toilet. However the riser sections that hit the toilet part only meet 1/2' or slightly less on each edge. The attachment is secure. When turning a small bit, the seat can slip off the toilet and one side and falls down the 3". It must have to do with the pliability of the plastic. I am a larger woman. But in the range of the weight requirements for the product. I have had 3 slips in the 15 days installed, I try to be extra careful when using the john. Toilet paper in hand. Wipe self when semi-standing. Possibly the toilet installed in my apartment has a wider component than most round size toilet bowls. The toilet I am referencing is a Gerber. The photos attached show the excessive gap between the riser downward lip and the toilet bowl rim. The width and depth measurements of the Gerber are the same as those listed from Bemis. I contacted Bemis sending the photos and toilet details and they were very helpful. The representative explained that there should be almost no gap between the downward lip and the toilet bowl rim. Another Home Essentials Direct customer posted a pic of his/her toilet that shows this. The representative suggested the Bemis 4LR which is a Lift spacer that gives 4" height when adding a regular toilet seat cover on top. It works great! And I like the look better with no space showing between the seat cover top and the toilet base.

I bought this for my elderly mother. She has a bad hip and needed extra height on the toilet to lower and raise herself. I originally purchased a 3-inch Carex hinged seat riser, but it was just a little too high ....her feet dangled and couldn't touch the floor. I replaced it with this Bemis 2-inch raised seat, and she now can have her feet touch the ground. I also must add that this Bemis is a much better designed and manufactured product. (It's like night and day compared to the Carex solution.) This is one very well made product. The engineering make the seat 'jiggle free', so there is no chance of it moving on the bowl. Feel confident sitting on it. In addition, the design makes it much more easy to clean. Just lift the seat for complete access to the bowl and hinged area. The Carex solution doesn't allow you to access the hinge area, where sometimes you need to clean. This Bemis product allows you to clean everywhere. You might hesistate spending a little more for this product, but the build quality is first class (like a German engineered Mercedes). I highly recommend this Bemis 2L2150T over all others.

This is a high quality item. It is solid and made for the toilet. I couldn't believe that it would raise the seat 2" but it does. I had the highest size toilet without going to handicap accessible. So I didn't want to go to the hassle of taking it out and replacing it as it was relatively new with our newest renovations. When our mother in law came with mobility problems we needed at least one inch raise for her which would be the same height of a handicap accessible. So now this is higher than the handicap accessible and it works great for us.

Bemis B4LEOOO Elongated closed front toilet spacer

I searched for a toilet riser that was durable, had the height that I needed and that was secure. Didn't like the ones that clamp on. Then I found this one that actually gives you 4" of height and fastens on with bolts just like a regular seat. It is FABULOUS. I have nothing negative to say about it. It may cost a little more than others, but WELL WORTH THE MONEY. I'm having a knee replacement and am 6" tall and weigh 300 pounds, and it is just perfect. My short friends may have to get a step stool to get on it, but so be it. I love it and recommend it highly. This one with the closed front was not listed, only the open front with a 3" rise, but when I called the 800# the young man told me they had this closed one. Best buy I've made in years. Seriously!

Don't look any further if you need a toilet seat riser. Stable, secure, easy to install, quality product. I had surgery and needed a riser. Checked out other products. So flimsy and unstable. Sure it costs more but you do get what you pay for. This one doesn't budge. Worth the price. Buy it and don't think twice. You won't find a better riser out there. I didn't want to buy several that you can't return and wind up spending more than just buying this one. I took the plunge and got this one. After my surgery I had a lot to worry about and an insecure toilet riser was something I did not want to bother about. Comes in 2" or 3" inch riser. I am short so opted for the 3". We had even considered installing an ADA height toilet but even those don't really rise enough. I am a month out from my surgery and can switch back to our regular seat but I am loving this one too much.

Good quality, excellent fit to my American Standard toilet. Very easy to install with novel fool-proof fasteners. The 2 inch height does raise the seat to a more comfortable level. I find extra attention must be given to cleanliness, but not to the point of troublesome.
