Center color is Taupe/Gray to my eyes.
The colors are really confusing on this rug. I just purchased it. The previous reviewer is correct. The colors on this rug are more muted than in the photo, as if the rug has a haze on it. I would call the primary background color in the center of this rug TAUPE leaning towards gray.....it's not really brown, not really green...I do wish it was more brown. The border is also very muted. I thought it was going to be too bright an orange, but it is very muted. The rug ties my roon togehter, and I am keeping it.

This rug is worth every penny, it's rich looking and pulls a room together beautifully!
Really nice rug. We wanted a very low pile and it is beautiful. It does have a slightly more green tint overall than the pictures indicate, but that is simply how to photographs. Even the pictures I take of it don't show the same greenish gold tint. It is a really beautiful. It almost looks vintage.
This is a truly gorgeous rug. I purchased the 3’ x 10’ runner for my kitchen. The customer service was exceptional. I emailed Perigold to verify the colors in the rug and received an immediate response. The colors are very muted which is what I wanted. The rug is rust and brown but I would describe the brown as grayish brown. I could not be happier with my purchase.

This is a very well made rug but the colors are much more muted than what is shown online and it is predominantly green and orange/rust.

The description of this rug is confusing as it says it is Brown and Rust and then it also says the main color is green, I called and was told that the main color was absolutely brown, however when the rug arrived there is not a single fiber of brown in the rug., ,,,,, The rug is very beautiful and is actually a very muted color but it is very green and orange, the green has a slight grey tint, but unfortunately it is not going to work for our decor. They are paying the return shipping but it makes it really hard to order another rug on line, this one looked brown on my computer but I've learned that there is no guaranty when ordering something like this.
