This Safavieh Gray/Gold Geode Rug Is Not Gold
I have Safavieh rugs all over my house, and I always love them because they’re very well-made and durable, but still look beautiful. However, I’m a little disappointed with this particular rug, not because of the quality, but because of the color. I ordered this rug because I wanted a rug with silver and gold metallic colors in it, and this one checked all of my boxes, so I was definitely not happy when I opened it up and saw that the color was not a metallic gold?? Actually, I wouldn’t even call it “gold” at all-it’s more of a dark spicy mustard brown/yellow color than a gold! So a dull yellowish gold or antique gold maybe, I guess? 🤷🏻♀️ It’s not terrible enough to return it, but it’s definitely not what I expected or wanted.Overall, the rug is still beautiful despite the ugly dark mustard color! (imo). It looks good in my room, and It feels luxurious under my feet. I’m just really picky and extremely critical about things like this.This is what happens when shopping online-sometimes you really need to see and feel stuff in person before buying, so it’s my own fault-I should’ve done more research on it and looked at more reviews before I ordered it, which I usually do, but I slacked off this time and only went by the photos.🤦🏻♀️ I blame Black Friday, 😝P.S.Even in my review photos it looks much “golder” than it actually is in person. I can assure you it’s not gold. It’s gold-ish! Less
