Nice Rug, But a Few Issues

This is a beautiful rug as others have stated. After purchasing several Safavieh rugs of this type, for this one I do have a few concerns - it's thinner than most hand-tufted rugs I have purchased, due to being thin it has several creases that still haven't relaxed yet, it seems less dense than others and it has already had some "picks" from my kitties nails while other rugs have held up for years against this, and it had an odd odor compared to other purchases. I likely wouldn't purchase this one again.

This is a beautiful rich, thick, wool rug. I had previously bought the 8’ round so knew what to expect. Colours are true to website.

Beautiful wool rug. Excellent weight and thickness! As with all wool rugs, it does shed and requires vacuuming a little more often for upkeep (especially to make the black parts truly “shine” in our chosen color scheme).

Very pleased with this rug!

Excellent quality wool rug. Have had it around 5 years now and it has held up extremely well, even with a kitten scratching it. Would definitely buy this brand again!

Great product!

The rugs fit beautifully in our bedroom. They are of exceptional quality and look very elegant in our bedroom. Highly recommend as service and delivery were very efficient.

Look closely at colors

The rug is somewhat more muted and darker than I expected (not navy blue, more like French blue), but it still goes great in our navy/gold bedroom.

I cannot say enough good things about the black/ivory Safavieh Handmade Empire Dani Traditional Oriental Wool Rug, purchased through Overstock. Its colors are exceptional and brighten up the room. They also match perfectly with my wall color, furniture, and floor. The rug is very comfortable, especially with the rug pad under it. It is the right thickness (0.25 to 0.5 inches) for me; not too thick to absorb moisture, dog hair, and dust, and not too thin to be too rigid. My wife and I are very impressed, and so is our dog!

Unfortunately the colors of this area rug are not as depicted in the picture on line. The size and thickness of the rug are great however the design is not as defined in the picture.

Beautiful went well with my fruniter. Got lots of compliments on it and where I purchased it from.

Nice for the Price

Typical Safaviah quality: a heavy weight, thick wool which will shed for a while (typical of lower priced rugs) but for the price, worth the temporary inconvenience. Colors are true maybe a bit more muted than shown online but colors are still true. I recommend as good for the piece.

Lovely rug

It's a beautiful rug. Matches my kitchen beautifully. It's a little thick in front of the stove, so have to move to get at the warming drawer, but that's ok.

Ugly rug Not as Pictured

Very disappointed in the run that was delivered. The photo I chose from is way off in color. This rug is only black and beige, the off red that is in the photo is not there. The only good thing about the rug is that it is wider than most you have. Also the lovely pattern you show in the photo is made much more simply not any way as pretty.

Excellent rug - Nice to walk on

I purchased 2 of these rugs over a year ago - liked them so well, that when I wanted to get a longer one for an area that is trafficked quite a bit, I decided to go with the same style, just longer. It works great fits the back area behind my sofa well, and since my desk is on the other side, it does get a lot of foot traffic through the week. It will save my carpet and make a nice base even for my desk chair. It has nice pile and feel when you walk on it, barefoot or in shoes-good investment.
