Purifier

This thing is really quiet and really works. It's better than any that I've ever bought. And I've just went through 3 of them of different sorts. That wouldn't even power on and had to s*** back. So you will not go wrong when you buy this one.

EASY TO OPERATE & GOOD VALUE

Easy to operate right out of the box and the control buttons light up so they can more easily be seen. Tower stands stable on our low pile rug and has a 2-prong plug at the end of the cord that's 10 feet long so you'll need an extension cord but that's not any problem. Also, the 2-prong plug fits into the older type of wall outlets, as well as, fitting into a 3-prong outlet. Not sure how easy it'll be to clean the filter, so the jury is still out on that one but the instructions are clear. GOOD value for all it says it can do, and so far so GOOD!!

The air purifier sounds great on line. I was hoping for relief from Allergens. Unfortunately the unit does not work. I was very disappointed. I did attempt to call the product customer service. They walked me through set up with no change. It does not work. The return has been set up. I'm waiting on a label. It does appear the item has been refurbished.

After much thought, research and taking pricing into consideration, I made my choice. And it turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made for myself and my famiy, This purifier fits my need perfectly, good square footage, timer and filter that can be vacuumed. Also has Hepa filter,VOC filter, graphite, 343 Sq. Ft. I would highly recommend you take a look and purchase one for your family. Did I mention I have two guinea pigs, but you would not know until you saw them in my home, R. Britt

I purchased this purifier due to the advertisement that it helps alleviate both smoke and mold. However, once I received the product, I found no mention that it helps alleviate mold allergies. There is no mention on the box, on the product, or in the pamphlet.

Great product at a great value

Wow! I am really happy with my purchase. The price was right. It really seems to help with my allergies and it has a sleek design. It's a little loud but not overbearing. I just have to turn the TV up one notch when I have it on. I also love how easy it is to pop out the filters and wash them. It appears to be doing. Good job because the filers were dusty when I checked it after a month.

So clean

Wow.... This is so worth the money. I have allergies really bad and this really helps me. We have been doing construction and when we moved into the bedroom it had a strong construction dust smell and I was sneezing a lot I put this on full blast overnight and the next day the room smelled so much better. The only thing I wish it had was to automatically stay on at all times. It lets you set it for 24 hours at a time then it shuts off. That is good I guess but I would prefer it just to stay on. Also, if put on high it is really loud but keeping it on the medium level is just fine.

Great investment. I suffer from allergies and this unit is amazing. I run the UV light for approx 20 min per day and I put the ionizer and speed to max at the same time. My rooms smell so very clean and fresh after doing this. I has greatly improved my allergies. This unit runs quietly so at night I put the speed to the 1 or 2 setting and leave the ionizer run also. I highly recommend this product, especially if you or or family suffers with allergies or asthma.

Great unit for the price.

We have owned this unit for almost 3 years. I run it 18+ hours each day. It still performs well. I love the UV and ionizer. Don't always use the ionizer. Model comes with a timer which I love. The filter has held up well and is easy to vaccuum. Low is very quiet. Medium and high are louder. I just put a towel over the top at night to block light from the unit. We used this in our bedroom. I can definitely tell the difference in air quality.

Best Purchase for CAs Wildfires and Climate Change

Best purchase ever! This is my second unit in 5 years. During CAs wildfires, our non-air conditioning air was terrible to breath and our home was 90degrees due to climate change. This unit filtered out the particles in the air and cools our breathing air to a more comfortable level while our windows were closed. Best purchase I ever made while experiencing Wildfires, heatwave and Pandemic

I can finally breathe!

I love these purifiers. This is our 2nd one, which we bought to help the 1st one since we have 4 cats & 2 dogs. Within 45 minutes to an hour, the change in air quality within that room was definitely noticeable. Within 3 hours, the change in air quality for the entire upstairs was incredible. My asthma & allergies are miles better. They are very quiet on low & medium. High is quite louder, but it still was an acceptable level imo. It's sleek looking & easily maintained. The manual is helpful & well labeled.

[Rewarded Review] Works Great

I plugged in the unit and the red clean filter light was on. There was no user guide or manual included with this unit. I was able to go online and print out a user guide but for a product with many features I would expect a user guide to be included. I was able to reset the clean filter light easily by pressing the timer and power button at the same time for 3 seconds. The unit is about 2.5 feet tall and sits nice and flat on the floor and is heavy enough that I don't have to worry about it tipping over. It has three speed settings, low, medium, and high. Low speed you don't hear anything, medium speed is also quiet but you can slightly hear it running and high is louder sort of equal to a room fan but definitely not annoying. I keep mine running when I am home on the medium speed all day and night. I have asthma and suffer from air born allergies and within an hour I could feel the difference in the quality of the air in the room that this unit was in. I could breath through my nose where as I could not previously so I know it is doing what it is suppose to do which is to purify the air. It has a timer that works great if you want to set it to run for any where from 1 to 24 hrs and then shuts itself off. It does remove odors such as smoke from the air however, some odors get trapped in your upholstery so when the unit is not running you may still smell some odors. It has a UV/VOC button which is used to kill harmful germs and bacteria and although a small 5 inch by half inch strip of blue light comes on at the top front I did not find it bothersome nor did I find it too bright. I love that the filter is easily accessible and simply requires you to vacuum the dust and particles away saving you a lot of money on replacement filters. All in all I am extremely happy with the Therapure TPP240 and I highly recommend it for people who suffer from asthma and air born allergies, it works great.

Take a whiff!

I love/hate this air purifier. I bought one for my bedroom and it worked great! I really like the separate buttons for ion and UV control, so I bought a second one for my living room. As soon as I pulled it out of the box I noticed a strong odor. I let it run for 12 hours hoping that it would dissipate, but it didn't, so I returned it to Walmart-- no problems at all. I ordered another one through Walmart, but opened the box first and took a whiff. It is fine and now has a special place in my living room.

I love this air purifier. As a smoker and pet owner, this is just what I needed! The timer is great. I click on the timer as I leave in the morning, then it turns off during the day. After only a few days of use, I see a very noticeable difference in the air quality of my home. I've also noticed less dust on furniture, and less cooking odors. Can't wait for Spring, so it can clear the pollen from my home. It's quiet, so it won't interfere with music, TV, conversations. The cord is long enough to plug it in and still move it away from the wall/furniture. No filters to keep replacing - just vacuum the HEPA filter and put it back in. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

Highly recommended! Just ordered my 2nd one!

Bought this for myself but last Sunday, my 6 yrs old grandson, who has a bad case of asthma (he was born premature) went and stayed in my house for a couple of hours. Immediately his breathing changed and you could hear he had stuffy nose. I turned on my air purifier (which was delivered a few days ago - this was the very first time I used it). About 2 hours later his breathing got better. Thought it might have just been a coincidence so when my daughter picked him up, I made her take the purifier with them so they can use and try it. She said she put it in his room and left it running overnight. She said my grandson woke up the following morning with a clearer breathing than normal. She’s now keeping it, and I just ordered another one for myself. Plus, it’s now $10 cheaper than when I first ordered my first one!

Lots of Bells and Whistles that Just Don't do it!

TheraPure TPP240 looked great and had great reviews, but that did not do anything for my health and household. We only have one cat, that is never in the living room, and I am a Asthma and Eczema sufferer. I vacuum everyday and dust twice a week. I am also running a AustinAir HealthMate 400 along with this one, at opposite ends of the room, one by my desk and the other blowing down the hallway. I swear, it made more problems than good. I had it in the sunlight the other day to see if it would pick up the particles flying around...some were attracted, but not like what it says it can do. Ionizer and UV.....looked nice light-up, but added no effect in my opinion. With my health conditions, I easily can tell a difference, and felt nothing with this. It was returned.

Best Of The Best

There are three ways to clean the air and none of them cleans everything by themselves but this quality air purifier is the only one that does all three, hence the only one that cleans everything out of the air. We moved to a bigger house with more bedrooms and hence need these 3 more cleaners but the other 5 we purchased 5 years ago are still running strong and quiet. And the money saved by NEVER NEEDING TO REPLACE THE FILTERS pays for the unit within a year and a half. A LED indicator light lets you know when the filter requires vacuuming, which only take a minute or two. The only draw back is the bright blue lights on the unit when one is sleeping but a short piece of black electrical tape over the light fixes that. We smoke and have a dog and yet when friend visit they comment that they couldn't tell.

Easy to clean, permanent filter

It's a tall air purifier, but this allows it to purify more air than the compact models tend to. Very easy to clean the filter; just pop off the cover and vacuum. The replacement filters are on Therapure's website, and they're reasonably priced, in case you eventually need a new one (even the permanent filters may need replacing down the line). It has three speed settings. Low is very quiet, almost silent. Medium is a humming type of noise. High is sort of loud. I bought my model used, and it sometimes has a rattle to it. I've noticed adjusting its angle and cleaning the filter seems to help. It also has an optional UV button on the top. It's a good unit and I've definitely noticed a difference in air quality. It removes the chemical smells I get from outside sometimes. With a permanent filter, it'll pay itself off over time, so I think these types of air purifiers are worth the higher initial cost. My previous air purifier needed a new filter several times a year. This Therapure model also makes a nice, cool breeze, so that'll be an added bonus for summertime. Pros: tall design, easy to clean permanent filter, works well, UV/photocatalyst filter Cons: intermittent rattles, a bit expensive

The room it is in, is within specs size wise. It has helped with the dust, but not as much as I would have hoped. With that said, I do tend to leave a window open in the room as it is an office/bedroom. It has controlled the dust considerably. Smell wise, I haven't noticed what others have, however I have smell goods going. I like the blue LED light in it as it gives off a good amount of light, especially at night for a night light. It could be to bright for some that are sensitive, but if you can sleep with a nightlight, this will be just fine. Noise wise, I keep it at the 2nd level. It is quiet enough there that it doesn't interfere with the TV. 1st level is super quiet. 3rd level is quite loud does interfere with the TV enough that I have to crank up the volume a little. I went with this purchase mainly for the dust control, and I am not totally happy with it, but happy enough. I can't put all that blame there as I there is a fairly old mattress in that room.
